Because the second moment itself does not exist due to the cause already being destroyed. Therefore, what exists in the second moment becomes the result. In this way, the self-nature that exists in the second moment becomes the result, but it is not the previous one, nor is it simultaneous, nor is it what exists in the third moment. The arising of the result that exists in the second moment also comes from the cause already being destroyed, because the cause is already destroyed in the first moment. When the second moment has a result, because it is a moment, the cause does not exist, so how can it exist simultaneously with anything? If non-existence arises, because there is no difference from non-existence itself, then horns of horses, etc., would also arise. To say this is to vomit perversely. To merely say this much knowledge is to not acknowledge it. If it exists, there is nothing other than just obstruction. If one does not want anything at all, then what does it have to do with arising? However, because it is the cause of the Dharma-nature that exists for a moment, the Dharma-nature that exists for a moment becomes merely its own self-nature, and that itself is arising. That is not what existed before, it is only said that much, it is not said that something arises, because things have no parts. Therefore, if the previous state of this does not exist at all, then relying on it, existence is not, and non-existence is not arising, then from where is the inference? If it is said that there is no difference from non-existence itself, then what is this non-difference? If the self-nature is the same, then how can it become non-existence? Because difference and non-difference are the Dharma-nature of things. If it is merely obstructing difference, then it is not possible for anything, so how can all things arise relying on it? Therefore, the permanent Dharma such as destruction and non-destruction, etc., are not applicable to the cause and effect of things as described above. If you universally observe destruction, etc., this will hinder arising, then why does it also hinder conventional arising?

Now, it is not done, because other than that, it does not have other forms, except for the ruined and the unruined, and so on. Because the realm of reasoning that comes from the power of things should not be distinguished by the power of human desire. Because of what? Because it harms the ultimate birth itself, but not the conventional one. If it is said that reasoning is not applied to it because of the fear of harming the directly perceived, then that is not reasoning, because it is itself liable to be harmed. In that way, others will also become untrustworthy. As it is said: What are the natures of things? If they are prohibited in the ultimate, then in the conventional, too, are there any differences that can be briefly summarized? This is what is said. Keeping all these in mind, we explain with "no difference" etc., by the characteristic of accomplishing the meaning. If it is said that "all selflessness" means: if all is non-existent, then the conventional truth will become like that, which is the meaning of wrong view, false, and unreasonable. Or, if you want to use the word "conventional" to mean birth etc., then when all selflessness is non-existent, it is not conventional, but the thing itself. Because the conventional is the basis of all establishments. At that time, the thing itself is the nature of birth etc. Birth etc. will be indicated by the word "conventional". Non-birth etc. is ultimate, because the word "ultimate" itself is the opposite of the conventional. Therefore, the ultimate non-birth is indicated by non-birth etc. as "non-birth" etc. In this way, conventional birth is called "birth" by birth etc. Therefore, grasping the meaning of the ultimate word, therefore "also" etc. is mentioned. Relying on the meaning of the conventional word, therefore "however" etc. is mentioned, therefore, distinguishing the meaning of the conventional, also refutes and examines others. What is the meaning of the conventional? Is it the meaning of impermanent cognition? Is it the meaning of illusion? Or is it said to be the meaning that is praised in the world?
