If that is the case, when it returns, what has not been done will become meaningful, just as it is not desired, merely completely cutting off the truly meaningful should be considered as the meaningful of returning. If it is not so, the intention of this analysis will not be achieved. If it is like this, how can merely being separated from the meaningful of returning be pervaded by what has been done? Because for non-existent things, it is impossible to be reversed by the nature of things. If someone says this, this is another fault of it, that is, it should also be considered that what is done by others is merely excluding what has not been done. If so, selflessness and so on are not merely characterized by separation. Why? Because it is a distinction of nature, selflessness is a distinction of nature. In order to show that point, therefore, "action" and so on are said. Action is what should be done. Enjoyment is experiencing happiness and suffering. Possessing those is blessing. For that, it is not autonomous, but the nature of the essence of being controlled by others is selflessness. The word "essence" here is a synonym for nature. Why does such a nature become selfless? Because "for that" and so on are said. For actions and enjoyments, etc., possessing those, whatever is autonomous, that is its own characteristic, because that is its nature, so it is the essence set by others. Therefore, due to the nature that does not conform to that, the non-autonomous nature becomes selfless, this is his intention. Because that is so, the substance, that is, nature, is selfless, not merely returning to self. Or, the substance of that selfless thing, that is, with its substance, selflessness itself is the substance of things, and is called the cause of things. His intention is that the word thing is also not characterized by different general and specific characteristics. If it is not so, if merely returning becomes selfless, then because nature itself does not exist, it will be impossible to approach it. For that approach, also

Because terms like "createdness" arise as soon as they are uttered, and as such, the dharma of things should not be a reason. Therefore, from reasons like "createdness," non-self is established, meaning that non-self will not be realized. Because in statements like "Whatever is created is non-self," the realization of non-self is achieved through reasons like "createdness," Buddhists do not believe that non-self, etc., can be established merely through non-existence. If it is said that in statements like "Whatever is created is non-self," it is not merely intended to express exclusion, but rather, after excluding the self, the nature of non-self is expressed with the term "non-self." If it is said that the realization of non-self cannot be obtained from createdness, etc., and therefore this fault does not exist, then, in this way, because the nature of non-self is negated, it touches upon things. The suchness of non-self that we have spoken of is obtained. In this way, for the time being, what this debater wants to establish is merely the separation from error, because through exclusion, what is to be established is established, so the subsequent following is grasped in a meaningful way. Therefore, it is shown that all reasons possess both subsequent following and opposition. Now, from the perspective of logicians, "whose" etc. is said. Which logician, not merely excluding the nature of the non-existent, what is to be established is not opposition, but rather the dharma of things. If that logician says so, then excluding the nature of things, that is, excluding the nature of things that are contrary to what is to be established, even if it is an exclusion with a reversed meaning, the nature of what is to be established will not be established. Even if it is an exclusion with a reversed meaning, it is not one with a true meaning. Because if the reason is reversed, the subsequent following will not be abandoned. For example, because it is not createdness, the words of the wise have a true meaning. For this reason, with the reasoning just mentioned, the subsequent following has not been abandoned. Therefore, the living body is separated from the self.
