From that onwards, regarding the enjoyment and so on, holding onto the basis itself, from where is the name, that word is a separate explanation. The remainder should be expressed in terms of showing the combination. The explanation of "the basis of enjoyment itself" is that it is the very thing that accomplishes the basis of enjoyment. The basis of enjoyment itself is what holds the body. The basis is because from that place my happiness arises. Accomplishing enjoyment holds the senses, because those accomplish happiness from the aspect of holding objects. The explanation of "from where is it" is that it is not itself. "Free from desire" is what the sutra says, meaning from where is it free from desire. "Like that" means not having obtained limbs such as hair from the body, meaning similar to those. "Only that" and so on are later explanations. If there is complete holding as my self, it means if there is something that is mine. The cause of my wisdom turning back, which is contrary to not holding onto the basis of enjoyment itself, is that if it is held as the basis of enjoyment itself, then the contrary cause can be seen. If there is something different from that, it is not that it becomes non-existent, and it should be seen that it is not non-existent to what is said to become if it exists. "Dwelling in me" means dwelling in the body. Because that exists, even for what is not different, it also means that for what is the nature of hair and so on that dwells in the body, those that are not different from that also mean that. What is it that sprouts from seeds and so on, and what is produced by that is the meaning of arising and appearing. Where is it, it is for the sprout. What is that which produces it, it is said to be like the consciousness of the name of that fruit, like the name of the fruit of that seed called sprout. What is the meaning of that consciousness. That and that also, is the doctrine of Samkhya that was just shown. Saying "etc." is a rejection, meaning that for that, one's own mind agrees, etc.

If it is said to be produced by relation, then it is indicated by the word "etc.". In this way, if nature and the person are very attached to one thing, then later at the time of liberation, it will also become one attachment because there is no difference. The so-called "not depending on it, and it is made by it", means that if the phenomenon that changes even if it is missing is not dependent, it is without dependence, and it is made by it. If it changes when it is there, that means it is made by it. Or, the thing that exists even if it is missing is not dependent on any result. If it changes when it is there, then it is made by it, that is, it is neither dependent on it, nor is it made by it, this is the summary of the difference. Commentary on Pramāṇavārttika, Volume 48. Therefore, "the reason is not established" means that if something is held as its own nature by something, then it will not be free from attachment to that thing, etc., therefore the reason mentioned above is not established. Because for one's own mind, unpleasant feelings are the cause, so it is pervasive. Conversely, unpleasant feelings are also the cause, so it is the opposite of what is pervasive. The so-called "only it is not suffering" etc., are the claims of other schools. It is said that the collection of bodily faculties etc. is the cause of unpleasant feelings, if it is necessary to think that unpleasant feelings are the cause, then it will show that the reason is not established. If it is said that in some cases it is the cause of unpleasant feelings, then it is uncertain, because in some cases, even if it is the cause of unpleasant feelings, it will be seen as the cause of one's own happiness for other reasons. This is shown by the discussion of "attachment to me" etc. The so-called "even if you know it is the cause of suffering" means even if you know that the cause of happiness is also the cause of suffering to some extent. The so-called "will become a mind that pursues happiness" means will become a mind that enjoys happiness. Even so, there will be no other harm to life.
