It should be understood that this is what is meant by "should be recognized as existing." The so-called "nature of clear sight" is the nature of not having recognition. One's own school is the Sarvastivadins and so on. It should be admitted that it has the nature of inverted recognition, because other definitions are not reasonable. The reason why the word "ignorance" is not used here is that the peculiarity of wrong knowledge is that it has become one aspect of ignorance. The general term "ignorance" is not explained in the Dharma Abhidhamma. However, it refers to "view of the perishable aggregation," and if it is shown by a general term, it will not be shown as the main cause of afflictions. Therefore, the occasion is made by "for a while" and so on, in order to show that the nature of inverted recognition itself is ignorance. The so-called "form and so on will also be subject to the same error" is because they are different from knowledge, so they will be subject to the error of ignorance. The so-called "because it is the occasion of the definition of things" refers to the definition of the thing called ignorance. Therefore, if so, then "in what way" and so on, it will become established as the side of the antidote to knowledge. Although it will be so, "however" and so on are the views of others. The so-called "by seeing the true meaning" and so on are the answers. If it is admitted, merely not having correct recognition is not seclusion. Then what is it? If it is said to be a nature different from the nature of knowledge that one wants to express, then it is said "therefore it is not" and so on, negating what is not by negation. However, this is said to contradict the result of "seeing Suchness." So, what kind of definition is ignorance? This is uncertain. Therefore, it is said "this is also its definition" and so on. The aspects to be grasped by knowledge are selflessness and suffering and so on. From that, invertedness and so on arise. Recognizing it is holding it. Combine the sentence "in which ignorance does it have its own nature." What is contrary to recognition is what is contrary to recognition. Whatever has its own nature in it is called that. For example, with the perception of happiness and so on.

It is like the perception of happiness being a reversed grasping of the aspect of grasping, because it contradicts the perception of suffering in actions and so on. The statement "because of having similarity through similar bases, objects, times, and substances" is considered by the Sautrantikas to mean that mental factors are similar according to the Abhidharma. If ignorance were of the nature of non-conceptualization, it would not be similar in object and aspect. Among these, the base and object are similar because the consciousnesses of the eye and so on have similar bases and objects. The aspect is similar because it is similar to the mind. The time is similar because it occurs simultaneously. Since there is only one mental substance in a single moment, and since mind and mental factors are each of the nature of individual substances, therefore the substances are the same. Therefore, since it is a mental factor, ignorance is not of the nature of non-conceptualization, but rather of conceptualization. Among these, even though the two kinds of conceptualization are already of the nature of conceptualization, it is said "etc." The virtuous action performed in the desire realm is merit. The opposite is non-merit. The action performed in the form and formless realms is unwavering. "This action is done by me" refers to merit and so on. The completely tamed mind relies on the seed, thereby producing the ability to know. That seed is also tainted, because the afflictions that take it as their object will grow there. Having companions such as craving is to have grasping in order to produce the result. The stream of formations possessing birth, aging, and death is the nature of birth, aging, and death, which is existence. Its manifestation and arising come from the power of grasping it, because it arises from it. Approaching it is possessing it. How does this text show that the view of self is ignorance itself? Because in this text it is also said "limb of ignorance" etc., here "this text" refers to the text that distinguishes the limbs of ignorance. Showing the view of self
