It means abiding in the nature of impermanence, abandoning impermanence and abiding in the nature of permanence. If something were to change from that, what would happen? It is said, "For things," and so on. For things such as sentient beings, whether permanent or impermanent, whatever is either partially or completely severed, those are different from that, whether permanent or impermanent, whatever is completely or partially severed, if it does not exist, it will not arise. Therefore, if a thing exists, then the partial or complete severance of permanence, in order, if the complete severance of impermanence does not exist, it is one that does not arise. The partial and complete severance of impermanence, and the complete and partial severance of permanence, if they do not exist, it will be shown that they do not arise. Therefore, if permanence is partially severed for a sentient being, then because impermanence is clearly grasped, it will become something that should be called impermanence. If permanence is completely severed, then because impermanence is partially severed, because it is permanence, it will become something that should be called permanence. Similarly, if impermanence itself is partially severed, then because permanence is grasped, it will become something that should be called permanence. If impermanence is completely severed, then even so, because permanence is partially severed, it will certainly become something that should be called impermanence. The explanation of "impermanence" is "momentary." The meaning of "that is non-existent" is that because it is not momentary, it is non-existent because it is separated from the ability to perform a function. At that time, not bound means not bound because there is no binding. If it is said that there is no fault because it should not be called permanence,

Regarding permanence and impermanence, etc., that nature in which permanence and impermanence, etc., do not exist, is what is called that in whatever person it exists. Because permanence and impermanence cannot be predicted, it is said that speaking of them in a person is not to be spoken of, that is, it is unpredicted. What is the completely transformed basis? It is said to be that which is accompanied by faults, etc. The phrase "in the nature of that path" means in the very nature of the path. The phrase "is the nature of seeing reality as it is" means having the nature of holding things as they truly exist. The aspect that contradicts valid cognition is the inverted aspect. Being related to that is approximate transformation, that is, it will not become the nature of any fault. The mind itself is approximately afflicted, so it is an approximate affliction, such as desire, etc. The mistaken consciousness that arises from imputing self and aggregates, etc., for some reason is a sudden condition, because that is not a companion of valid cognition. The phrase "if there is harm in that" means if, with a sudden aspect, the approximate affliction that is its cause is revealed by the path of selflessness. The phrase "abiding in its own nature by itself" means abiding in the nature of that path of selflessness. The phrase "because it is the nature of entering by the power of things" means that because it holds things as they truly exist, the path of selflessness that is entered is the very nature of the mind. The phrase "it is not the basis of that nature" means it is not the basis for transforming into another aspect. The cause of mixing is the cause of mixing, such as rust, etc. The phrase "if that is completely absent" means if the cause of mixing is completely absent. The phrase "for example" is the second example. Furthermore, from the basis of transforming into another aspect, the aspect that is the opposite of that, is pervaded by the very absence of that nature, and that which is contradictory to that is also transformed into nature, so in that way, the contradictory pervader appears. If the nature of seeing reality as it is, is not in the mind, then the reason will not be established.

Then, it is said, "It is not that it is not established," and so on. The statement, "From the ultimate point of view, consciousness is considered to be the one that grasps objects," means that consciousness in the ultimate sense is not the one that grasps objects, because what is grasped is not established. However, it is said in this way to show that those who temporarily believe in the existence of external objects should think in this way. The so-called "external object" refers to the appearance that causes illusions such as the arising of similar other things. The so-called "another" refers to being defiled by the habitual tendencies of inverted conceptualization of the inner self. The statement, "At that time, it is not the dharma of grasping objects," is because "non-existent" also grasps the appearance of non-existence. It is said, "That itself is, thus," and so on. Although it can be admitted, external objects are not established. If consciousness is extremely established, then all things are not established. Why is this said? It is said, "Because consciousness also focuses on the appearance of inversion," that is, when consciousness becomes an object, it also becomes an object of other consciousnesses. At that time, it also becomes an object through the appearance of superimposition. In this way, all consciousnesses will be established as those who grasp the inverted nature. It is said, "That itself is me, it is the stage of distinguishing and establishing objects and subjects," that is, the object and the subject themselves, what kind of stage of consciousness is it? For this distinction and establishment of objects and subjects, is it that the dharma of consciousness grasps objects, or does it grasp inversion?
