The so-called "this one itself" is because it arises simultaneously. It is also not without a cause, because it would lead to the fault of being either permanent or non-existent. The so-called "the arising of substance with qualities" means that a body with the qualities of the qualities of objects such as desire will not arise. Perverted intellect is the non-reasoning mind that has the characteristic of perversion such as permanence. The so-called "cause and nature as explained" refers to the nature of impermanence and so on. The so-called "cause and nature as explained" refers to the craving for existence, which is the nature of the cause. The so-called "because it is not established" is also because the reason is not established. The so-called "some of the phenomena of samsara," etc., is to explain, intending to show that it is because of the negation of self and so on. Commentary on the Compendium on Valid Cognition, Chapter Forty-Seven. If some samsarins say, it refers to those who assert a self. It does not appear even slightly, because the seer is without self, this is what is thought. If it is said that it is made for us and so on, then it is not established, because it generates the certainty that we and so on are making efforts for us. If it is said again that there is no self, then even so, because the consciousness itself clings to self and what belongs to self, and thus arises delusion, it is said that consciousness sees with action as the cause. In order to harm the clinging of the cause of consciousness itself. Even if it has been determined that there is no self, the sequence of hearing, thinking, and meditating will not be without result, therefore, it is explained by "that is born from hearing" and so on. The connector is "someone to somewhere" etc., which shows that clinging to self is indeed the cause of entering, because of the imputation to someone. Because of attachment to it, that is, to that in which manifest attachment exists, it is called that. It is endowed with the entry made by the attachment of imputation. Whoever is attached to and endowed with something is also endowed with the entry made by manifest attachment, this is the summarized meaning.

To. Since complete attachment depends solely on this to proceed, it is the reason of self-nature. Briefly, what is called grasping at self, etc., is what is called that for whatever has the bondage of grasping at self. What is meant by "for its sake" is for the sake of benefiting oneself, thinking that immediately after abandoning afflictions, one will attain the nirvana of those aggregates without remainder. What is meant by "entering into abiding" is for the sake of entering into dependence on abiding. That which has the cause of seeing what is needed for oneself is entering into abiding. If one does not see what is needed here, then one does not see the cause. Connecting benefiting others with not being attached to sentient beings is because of abandoning complete attachment. The five aggregates of appropriation are formations, and that itself is suffering, because it is of a nature of incompatibility. Whatever has an object is called that. What is meant by "attachment to that," etc., is an example of showing that it is not shown for the sake of one's own happiness, nor is it because of attachment, but only because of love. What is meant by "this is not a binder" is that it is not a placer. If there is an interruption in the intermediate state, it is because it is nirvana without remainder. If there is existence thrown by the karma of one who is able to interrupt, then this is the reason. If it is not so, then in the existence of a fixed time thrown by fixed karma, there is actually no interruption in the intermediate state. Wages and rewards, and the price of wages, are actually not different meanings. What is meant by "the nature of impermanence, etc." is the meaning of the nature of impermanence and non-happiness, and selflessness, etc. Perverted knowledge is grasping at the nature of permanence and happiness, etc., which shows unreasonableness. Whoever has abandoned the view of self is pervaded by the absence of one who has a prior view of sentient beings, and what is contrary to that is also one who has a prior view of sentient beings, thus it is the object of the contradictory that pervades. The second combination is also the object of the contradictory that pervades, because for one who has abandoned the view of self
