Chapter: Because it has been said that actions without fruit should be abandoned. If the general does not do things, but only does clear things, because it is not possible to show clarity, the word attached to the general is used to represent the general, and the general represented by the word also represents clarity because it is related to it. Therefore, the kind that has been expressed should be expressed, if it is said so, then answer with "even if there is a connection" etc. Even if the kind and the things that have that kind are connected, however, if the word does not express the clear characteristics, how will it intervene? It will not intervene. To prove this, say "to some people" etc. Even if the cane and the person holding the cane are connected, if you say "cut the cane" to some people who have prior thoughts, you will not cut the person holding the cane, because the word does not express it. Similarly, even if you express the kind, it will not intervene in clarity, this is the summary. If for the kind, riding and milking etc. are impossible. Even if the word does not express it, will it intervene in clarity? It is said "because it is impossible" etc. If the speaker, in the matter that should be commanded, expresses that which exists in other things

To avoid faults, "if" and so on are mentioned. Whatever crutch that does not have a definite relationship is called "that." For example, although the crutch is not being held, it exists. Its own nature is for that reason, so "that" does not apply to the person holding the crutch. If you say "crutch," it will not become applicable, this is a concluding word. If you speak of the kind, because it is a definite relationship, it will apply to clarity. If you think like this, then the Sautrāntika says "that" and so on. The so-called "that" is precisely an indefinite relationship, and it is the same for the kind. If you ask, "How is it?" then "those that are clear" and so on are mentioned. If, just as there is confusion about the person holding the crutch, the person holding the crutch also has confusion about the crutch, even if the kind exists without clarity, clarity does not have confusion about the kind, so it applies to others. If you think like this, then this is also wrong. If you want to represent the kind through clarity, then at that time clarity will not have confusion about the kind, this is acceptable. If you say, like when there is no "how" and so on, which are related things, but other things like brothers and so on, just as the words that express them elicit another related thing, then the external is also the same. If you say the words "brother" and so on, then "brother" and so on are mentioned. The word "and so on" includes words like "son," because those are related words. Because related things can only be established by relying on other related things, this is a concluding word. The so-called "eliciting others" is the category of brother and so on. The so-called "eliciting" is generating a conceptualization of the image of another related thing, but it is not merely establishing it, because even without related things, conceptualizations arise. Like this and so on, is stating dissimilar dharmas. If you say it is a related thing, then this fault will occur at that time, so "kind clarity" and so on are mentioned. Whatever kinds do not have clarity, those kinds will always become the object of application from those words, from the words that express the kind.

Then, it would follow that it follows clarity, because things with the attribute of clarity would also cease to do what makes clarity meaningful. This is a summary statement. If someone raises "if" etc., it is to welcome the doubts of others. "At all times" refers to the times when clarity exists and does not exist. Because it is known to be related to this, because it is known to be related to clarity, it is only wanting to infer clarity. If someone says that, just like the sound of "in the bushes" etc., because it is related. The bushes belong to something, it generates such knowledge, but it does not distinguish and determine the specific related thing. Similarly, the word 'caste' also indicates that 'this caste is the possibility of some bright things,' it just projects the possibility. This is what is said. Then, if someone objects, saying "at all times" refers to the times when clarity exists and does not exist, then
