And the words of places and gatherings, etc. And with the word "etc.", how can it become six if it is not different from the series of pavilions, etc.? It should be said like this. What is to be expressed by the word "collection" for those six things? In general, there is none, because it is only in substance, quality, and action that generality is acknowledged. Similarly, it is impossible to have number, because these two are the objects of quality and exist only in substance. Others have mentioned "now," etc. The so-called "now" is Not admitting that nature is another meaning. If there is no difference between what is expressed by the word "space" and what is expressed by the word "nature," how can the nature of space be shown as different? It is not just space, because there is no reason for difference, so it should only be shown as non-difference, which is the conclusion. The answer is given by "the other meaning of space," etc.: The so-called space is the meaning expressed by the word space. Without relying on the difference between the other meanings of earth, etc., and the common nature that has not been grasped, but abandoning it, for those who want to understand the nature of the reason expressed by the word space, that is, the nature that is not common with other substances, just like now, for those who want to understand the nature that is not related to the nature of other meanings, in any case, in order to know that the nature of space is this and not others, therefore it is called the nature of space. Similarly, it is also said to be space itself. In this way, when showing the nature of space, the word "nature" only shows the opposite of non-nature, but abandons other natures, that is not it. The word "space itself" shows that itself, abandoning other natures. From then on, due to the subtle difference between abandoning and not abandoning other natures, the nature of space is shown as different, that is what is said. Others think like this: Without relying on the nature common with other meanings, but for the nature of the reason expressed by the word space, having said like this, they want to say that this is only expressing their own characteristics, so all

It is said, "different from all" and so on. The proponents of established tenets said, "essence" and so on. It is translated as: it is not that sounds are placed in the mind evoked by sounds, that is, it is not the essence, the own nature of the self, which is different from all. Why? If one's own nature appears in the consciousness of the senses as it appears, it also appears in the cognition of sounds, then it would lead to the senses having no function, because it would lead to being directly perceived. If so, then what do sounds do? It is said, "This is" and so on, the so-called "This is" refers to the indicator. Because of being deceived by clinging to the appearance and the objects to be distinguished as one, thinking that one should know such uncommon meanings, thinking in this way, sound becomes the cause, for the listener, it is only to create the image of any distinction. For example, what is it like? It is not related to its own essence, that is, it does not grasp the essence of things. Master Dignāga also thinks so, saying "Thus" and so on, for saying the sound of "heaven of unseen meaning" and so on, the listener only arises with the distinction of meaning, but does not touch the object. For the seen meaning, it is also only distinction, but at the time of expressing the seen meaning, because of experience, at the time of applying the name, although attachment to one's own nature will arise, but for the sound of unseen meaning, even this is not there, therefore it is only to say the seen meaning. Sound produces the image of distinction in the listener's mind, in this way, the knowable and the knower are not to know and indicate their own nature in order. If sound can recognize its own nature, then, when hearing the sound of "heaven" and so on, it will also be like experiencing heaven, there will be no different appearance, because the listener will also distinguish the nature of heaven and so on. This is the concluding remark. Because the sound

Because of not understanding the nature of the word itself, therefore, although the listener does not recognize the self-nature of the object from the sound, he is particularly attached only to such an image of conceptualization, that is, an image that has no connection with the self-nature of the object. Because of being particularly attached to one's own nature, one will be satisfied thinking that one has understood one's own unique nature. Why? Because understanding the meaning of sound is just like that, even if one does not grasp the nature of the word itself, it is because it is the nature essence of being particularly attached to one's own nature. Because one understands the meaning of sound by being particularly attached to one's own nature, therefore it is said that the sound reveals its own nature, saying so because it does not depend on the common essence with other things, but takes the sound "space" as the reason for entering the non-common essence. Because it produces the consciousness that manifests its own essence, it is not right to say that it reveals its own nature. Others said "Now, then..." etc., combining the words and saying: "Which ones have a single different essence?" Because these things are unrelated. Also, "other" refers to the generality that does not belong to things. The proponent has already said what the generality is like, saying "already said". If asked what it is like that has been said, then it is said "those that are not mixed" etc., those that are not mixed and are different from each other, one of which is related to things of different kinds, for example, the appearance of a cow is related to a horse. Those that are unrelated, that is, those that are different from this, the difference between a horse and a cow that is different from this is the same, and it is not a horse, other generalities should also be said like this. Like this, although one's own nature is different from similar and dissimilar kinds, for those things that are regarded as being different from dissimilar kinds, they are approximately called generality, because everything is different from dissimilar kinds. That is, Similar things and other things, Different things are the support. Like this, by explaining the difference from other things, it should be understood that it has already been said.
