Therefore, it can be added that "it can also be shown." When the word "burning" exists in the action of the agent, such as establishing a foundation, etc., combining the obstructing factor with the word, then the greatness of the word "burning" is the same as the sound and basis of the word "cutting," so neither is burning, but shows cutting, excluding other particularities. When the meaning of the word "burning" exists, then "burning" itself and the meaning of the word "burning" are different. The treatises made by oneself have a function, and are beneficial to it, belong to the path, are the end of other actions, etc., so it can be added that "it can also be shown." For example, "Devadatta sleeps" and "the whiteness of cloth," for this, the meaning of the word "sleeper," that is, the word "sleeping," also excludes other special meanings, similarly, cloth. The meaning of the word white, excluding things that are not white, does not exclude other particularities, that is, the word white cloth, also excludes other special meanings, just like this. Just saying this, that is, for a dharma-possessor, just saying the exclusion of other particularities and the non-exclusion of other particularities that exist on a dharma-possessor, in fact, the thing itself will not truly transform into other meanings, distinguishing between the nature of dharma and dharma-possessor. Why? Because it is only for distinguishing the exclusion of other particularities and the non-exclusion of other particularities in this case that the words of dharma and dharma-possessor are used. The "burning itself" said by others refers to questions about the explanation, such as "Isn't it an action?" and so on. Relationship refers to the relationship of the nature of the burning action and the burning agent gathering together. Like this, from the end with action, it is hoped to express the causal relationship of things. As it is said, for the summary of words, having action, and things that are beneficial to it, relationships are expressed. Just like this, the word "burning" is also the end with action. It is incorrect to express the nature of "burning" only with the word "explanation itself." Like this

The action is also completely different from the agent, the agent is also different, and the relationship between the two is also completely different. Therefore, although the word "cooking" can express the action that exists in the agent, the meanings of the words "cooking" and "cooking-ness" are not the same, as has been explained. Eighth chapter. "As it is said," etc., is to answer: In terms of the word "cooker," the Vaibhashikas say that for anything, there is a real connection between the action and the agent, and the agent exists independently of the action, just as saying that the action existing in the cooker has reality and only expresses some other agent, which is not correct, because the agent independent of the action must be refuted. If there is no difference between the action or the agent, then one might wonder what kind of relationship can be expressed through the cause of things. "What is meant by this" refers to what is expressed by the word "cooker," which is not the cooker, but a distinct, purely objective thing that does not exclude other differences. What is expressed by the word "cooker" can also be expressed by "cooking-ness," simply because it expresses that thing that excludes other differences. It does not express a relationship, because the relationship does not exist. Just as what is expressed by the word "cooking-ness," the word "cooking" also expresses the same meaning. Another explanation is that, for those who advocate excluding others, as others say, the word "cooking" does not refer to something that is the basis of other actions, but only expresses some other cooker, because the cause of the connection between the action and the agent is not established. However, it only expresses something that is the opposite of the non-cooker by excluding other differences. This shows "What is meant by this," etc. "This" refers to the word "cooking." "What is meant" refers to the characteristic difference that is the opposite of the non-cooker.
