Nor does it arise from... Therefore, the statement "the subject that is unrelated to the dharma, there is no realization for it" has already been explained in that section, because it has not become cause and effect, it is impossible to infer it. Because it is so, therefore, from suddenly seeing smoke and realizing fire, for the person who sees that place, the situation of not being certain of its own nature is definitely present. Where does that uncertainty come from? It only comes from inversion, that is, clinging to the place that is not related to fire, thinking that it is the same as the land. This is indicated by "that is also it" and so on. "That" refers to the person. Even if that place is related to fire, but with what kind of mind? With a mind that does not cling to being related to fire, that is, without thinking that it is related to fire, therefore it is called "remote," that is, remote from fire, when determining the state of being remote from its own nature, because clinging to what is not it as it, how can it not be inversion? It is only inversion. Thus, as long as the smoke of that place has not been seen, it is always thought to be the same as other places without fire. For some things that need to be inferred, even if there is no inverted knowledge, there will still be doubt, and doubt depends on both sides, so it will touch the confusion of the place. Therefore, in order to eliminate doubt, it can only be distinguished by reasoning. Only through reasoning can one realize what needs to be inferred, because what needs to be inferred will undoubtedly be accompanied by inversion and doubt. Thus, for the augmentation of it and the augmentation of fire that is free from doubt, and for the person who is free from doubt, he will not follow the reasoning to realize it, nor will he rely on the dharma of the place, and similarly, he will not be respectful to the following and opposing of the reasoning. Thus, he both follows and respects. Therefore, the one who realizes will be accompanied by augmentation and doubt for some things that need to be inferred.

Because the power of reasoning can dispel superimpositions and doubts, it can cut off superimpositions on everything. Therefore, it is the object of elimination in the manner of being explained as such, and it is the object of cutting off. If, without relying on cutting off, things can be understood from reasoning, then if the subject is established by some valid cognition, and the nature of that subject is not established from the nature of that which is established, for what purpose is reasoning applied? If there is a temporary superimposition, then the reasoning applied to cut it off, if it is another object of elimination, then how can the subsequent inferential cognition, if it is a conceptual consciousness, be another object of cutting off if there is no superimposition? It must undoubtedly be accepted as another object of elimination, because your view is that it is an object of generality, and also because generality is the nature of other elimination. Therefore, it is said, "For some things seen also," and so on. For some directly perceived forms, etc., the consciousness that follows is called the meaning of generality, which is the object of generality, and therefore it is conceptual. In what aspect is there another part? Conversely, the aspect without superimposition is the other part without superimposition. Applying to this is also merely the object of elimination, and whatever part is without superimposition is merely the object of cutting off. Thus, the subsequent inferential consciousness, although it cannot eliminate the previously existing superimposition, it is only the object of cutting off because it does not exist in the object of superimposition, so it should be known.

The so-called "that" refers to when directly seeing forms, etc., if there is no superimposition of inverted aspects, then how can it become an object of elimination? Just this is an explanation of the first half of the verse, in the manner of the previous direction. To "because it exists on the un-superimposed object," etc., this is the answer: because of certain knowledge, that is, because it does not exist on the superimposed object, therefore it is an object of elimination, which should be combined with the real situation. To "where is that itself," etc., it eliminates, so-called "where is the difference of this" refers to the person. It will not be determined as not relying on the difference of the superimposed object, or thinking it is selfless. Why? Because the intention of certainty and superimposition is the nature of what is harmed and what harms. Certain knowledge and the knowledge of superimposition that is the opposite of it are the nature of what is harmed and what harms. To "from all things," etc., what is harmed only establishes the nature of what is harmed and what harms, even if seeing it is different from all similar and dissimilar things, but just like that, as seen, it is impossible to clearly understand and determine in all aspects. Why? Because on some differences such as instants, there may be obstacles, that is, there may be reasons for illusion. For example, even if seeing it is different from all water bubbles, but the water bubbles themselves may produce reasons for illusion similar to silver, so it is uncertain. In what kind of situation is there no reason for illusion, only in that kind of situation, seeing it is also no different, but in all aspects, even if the direct perception is no different, but what arises after the time of remembering the experience of this enlightened one will be certain. Because the direct perception is no different, but it will only be certain on the object that is far from superimposition, therefore, know that superimposition and certainty are the nature of what is harmed and what harms. Because it is the nature of what is harmed and what harms, for this reason, certainty, this is controlled by superimposition.
