How does the reason for that arise? The imputation that is suitable as a reason for something else is only that much, so it is to be eliminated. If the measure that eliminates imputation does not arise, it will disappear along with the resulting fruit, becoming meaningless. The so-called "measure" is used to express many words with clear distinctions. Those measures that have the fruit of elimination, that have the fruit of preventing imputation, are for the sake of making the part of the object, the part of the object that has not been understood, understood and more clear. It is not to enter, because the dharma is observable, without parts, and the part of the object has already been seen. Why? Because there are no parts, it is impossible to see only one aspect. Because of that, all the qualities of seeing the object with direct perception, that is, seeing the entirety of the essence itself. However, in order not to determine the cause of confusion, the so-called "establishment" is the subsequent inference that eliminates confusion. From the subsequent inference, etc., the word "also" is relative to direct perception, and is the meaning of جمع. If the reason for the subsequent inference also admits to holding the object in the essence of establishment, then, after one of the dharmas of the dharma such as fire is determined, because the dharma has no parts, it holds all the dharmas. If that is the case, it will be thought that other measures are meaningless. Eliminating the imputation of elimination, if it is admitted that it is understood by the subsequent inference, then the fault just mentioned will not be committed. The so-called "some" etc., are separate explanations. Combined with "some dharmas are seen by direct perception", it means "some dharmas that are seen by direct perception". Because not all dharmas can be seen by direct perception, it is said "some", in order not to enter other measures in the way just mentioned. When does the subsequent inference also understand objects such as fire through establishment? It is when one wants to eliminate imputation, not when one eliminates imputation. The so-called "at that time" is the way of establishment.

When one knows the earth, if one ascertains one dharma, since it is non-different from that, since it is non-different from the ascertained dharma, therefore ascertaining all dharmas, other valid cognitions do not arise, i.e., other inferences do not arise. If, even if it is non-different, it is not the ascertainment of all dharmas, then it is said, "If that is ascertained," etc. The "that" refers to the dharma ascertained by the first inference, and "its nature" is the nature of the ascertained dharma, so non-ascertainment is unreasonable. The explanation of this "this fault of elimination will not become excessive" is, "When," etc., is said. At that time, one inference eliminates one imputation, because it has not eliminated other imputations, for that purpose, it is for the purpose of eliminating other imputations. The "other" is like inference. "Not understood by others," etc., is said, previously, for the reversed imputation of imputing the opposite of that, later there, not understanding the meaning of having reversal preceding, from the sign it will be determined, this determination is not there, because even without reversal there is inference. It is shown by "For example, that," etc., "sudden smoke" means that in some places, smoke suddenly arises without thinking, from which one knows fire. "For it" means that from knowing fire from sudden smoke, it is impossible to impute it as non-fire. "Therefore" means that therefore inference does not eliminate everything, if it is said like that, the teacher said, "For this," etc., for the inference entering in the manner of establishing, the answer has already been given, if the subject of dharma is known by direct perception, then its dharmas are non-different from the subject of dharma, therefore everything will be known, so inference is meaningless, or if one admits that dharma and subject of dharma are different, then since difference is admitted, together with the subject of dharma, it is not the relation of the characteristic of its own nature. Impermanence, etc., also do not arise from the own nature of the subject of dharma, and the subject of dharma is not impermanence, etc.
