Therefore, it is called "aspect of dharma." If "aspect" refers to the commonality of dharma and the possessor of dharma, then the opponent will consider that the reason, as a common attribute, is not established. If it is established, then the subsequent inference is meaningless. If someone thinks this way, then it is said that "aspect is the possessor of dharma," because it is to be qualified. This is a way of thinking. If it is said "because it is not necessary," etc., this is the other party's doubtful thought. It is refuted with "it is not," etc., because it is not unnecessary. How so? Because it is to negate all the attributes of the possessor of dharma, so the word "qualification" is drawn from within. If the qualification is abandoned, then the "attribute of the possessor of dharma" should be pointed out. If this is the case, then the statement "sound is impermanent, because it is visible" will also become the reason itself, because it is the attribute of the possessor of dharma in the example. If qualification is made, then it will negate all the attributes of the possessor of dharma. If someone asks, "How is it qualified?" then it is said, "Because it is a part of it," etc. Like this, the reason for qualifying the whole and the part is precisely because it is a part of it. If it is not so, then all will be qualified. The possessor of dharma to be proven is also a part of it. Because it is a part of the aspect, it can be qualified as a part of the aspect, in order to understand which is its attribute, so qualification is made. If it is understood that it is a qualifiable possessor of dharma, then it is "it is so." "Because it is visible," etc. is abandoned, etc., and the word "etc." is used to summarize "is dharma," etc. By saying the word "dharma," etc., also only because it is said that the universal attribute of that dharma, because it is a related word, it is necessary to fully understand the basis as the possessor of dharma. Thus it is established, because the statement "attribute of the possessor of dharma," by mentioning the possessor of dharma, indicates that what is intended to be expressed here is qualification. If what is intended to be expressed is the universal attribute, then mentioning the possessor of dharma is meaningless. If someone asks, "Possessor of dharma"

If "that" is not mentioned, then which sound does "that" in the term "its partial pervasion" refer to? It refers to that which is merely the subject of dharma, abandoned by the word "dharma." Therefore, due to the force of saying "subject of dharma," it is argued to be near. Because it is near, it will be completely regarded as the subject of the thesis to be established. If it is said that it is near because it is the occasion of the thesis to be established, that is not the case, because the subject of the example is also the occasion of the argument, so it is near. Therefore, because there is doubt, it is thought that it will not be completely regarded as the unique subject of the thesis to be established. The answer is given with "its partial pervasion" etc.: A property of the subject, its partial pervasion is. What is said by this term, its partial pervasion, establishes that it exists in the subject of the example. Because the reason does not exist in the subject of the example, it is impossible for its partial pervasion to exist. Therefore, saying "subject of dharma" is not for the sake of completely regarding it as the subject of the example, because it is meaningless. However, due to the force of saying "subject of dharma," it will be completely regarded as the subject of the thesis to be established. The answer is given with "while being established" etc.: Although it is established that it exists in the subject of the example by "its partial pervasion," however, if the dharma of the nature that exists in the subject of the example, which is said by the term "its partial pervasion while being established," exists only in the subject of the example, then it is, and it will be suspected that it is also said for emphasis. Furthermore, have you seen in some easily understood treatises that it is repeated for emphasis while being established? "Only on the similar" etc. is said. The definition of the teacher Dignāga is that a property of the subject, whichever exists on the similar and does not exist where that does not exist, that is the reason. For that, this determination that it exists only on the similar, merely by this, it is established that it contradicts the dissimilar reason. Where that does not exist, it does not exist, what is said, that which does not exist where the thesis to be established does not exist, exists only where it does not exist, not in the contradictory, nor on anything else.
