Therefore, it is for the sake of generating other abilities. Therefore, the consciousnesses of objects that have the nature of arising in sequence also establish the sequence of their own objects. Thus, since all things are established as distinct, they are indeed impermanent. Because it is so, therefore, the combination of existence is like this, that is to say, what the second reason states is also what the ability of the combiner generates, such as sound and so on. The explanation of the combination that exists from the power of the cause is like this, it is not from the action of the combiner, for the action of its own effect that previously existed and appeared, the action from the combination is not. If it were not so, from the action of the combiner, axes and so on, or when sound itself has the ability to produce its own effect, it would be because its own ability has no combination. In that case, without relying on a person, axes and so on would enter by themselves. If the sound of combination refers to the arising itself, why not say the arising of axes and so on and sound, why mention combination? Combination is also mentioned as 'also' and so on, for the sake of wanting, that is, for the sake of manifestly wanting things, cutting off and so on are established, for that which is established, axes and so on are said to be the very nature of generating ability. What kind of ability is it? It is dependent on the homogeneous, that is, the similar close taking, the moment that has become the cause, that is to say, it is dependent on the homogeneous close taking. Like the combination of axes and so on, the axes and so on that perform the combination of cutting off and so on are because they depend on the previous moment of the homogeneous. That which does not depend on close taking is like the combination of karma and so on. The category of 'and so on' includes sound and so on completely. For karma and so on, those who initially perform the combination, the dependence on the similar previous moment does not exist. Any hidden object that has not been seen many times before, even if it is, later from some cause that awakens memory, recognizing that it is this, the recognition of the hidden object, although it is not a valid cognition, but in front

That which is born from an existing object, that manifest cognition is also a manifest valid cognition. Why? Because it is through manifest valid cognition that the permanence of things is established. Such a thought, whatever cognition becomes manifest, that will also be refuted in the following. This side is stated for the purpose of establishing permanence. Other bad reasons should also be refuted. Thus, for the purpose of establishing permanence, any dharma that is to be established also has no similarity, the nature of the permanence of things, there is no one who follows. Why? Because all dharmas are in that state, because the nature is different, having the nature of decay and arising. All that is established as permanent is contrary to reason, contrary to inference. How is it? As it is said, that is, as it is said in this treatise, establishing momentariness, or will be said, or what is said by one's own school in other treatises, following after that, because of the reason contrary to reason. Other reasons for establishing permanence that are conceived by others should also be said to be flawed. Thus, for the time being, at the time of "the order of clarity is not true," clarity means either generating excellent sound, or being free from its obscuration, or consciousness, these are three distinctions. Among them, sound is not an excellent arising because it is permanent; there is no obscuration, because it is not a result, the one who is free from obscuration is not the one who clarifies, thus abandoning the two distinctions, and taking consciousness as the one who clarifies, is made the remainder. At that time, if the order of clarity is speech, then the order of mind will also become speech. The speech of Vaisheshika should be established as non-human-made, and that is also its nature, thus, mind will also become non-human-made. Thus, mind is not dependent on a person, that is, it is not dependent on a person, this is what should be established, it is contrary to what is established. Why? Because the promise is known by manifest cognition.
