It is not like that. However, if it is indeed apparent that harm will occur, then it is said "by those" and so on. If it is suspected that harm will occur by those, then it would be too extreme. Because for other reasons that are intended to manifest as not mistaken, there is no certainty that harm will occur, and if the other party does not acknowledge the connection, one might think, "Will the doubt of harm not be dispelled?" Therefore, it should be considered that only that which has entered and fully entered into valid cognition will cause harm. If harm occurs without entering, then everything cannot be trusted. For those with remainder, there is also no harm caused by valid cognition entering, therefore, if one refutes merely because of not seeing, then those with remainder will also become mistaken, this statement stands. If it is said that not seeing is the same as not having seen, then there is no need to rely on generating recollection for it, then would your statement of refutation also become the same as this? Therefore, it is said "refutation is" and so on. Whatever reason refutes from the dissimilar side, that is merely established, only that which is established can establish. Because of that reason, such a nature depends on certainty, the nature of refutation depends on certainty. That is to say, our refutation is not merely not seeing like yours. However, there is a connection between what is to be established and the establisher, and if there is nothing to be established, then the reason returning from the dissimilar side is a nature that it possesses itself. Whatever the nature of the reason is, it must also depend on its own certainty, because it is the knower. If according to your system, then how is it that even those with remainder are mistaken? It is said "through the door of non-perception" and so on. For those with remainder, there is no refutation like the one described earlier. Then what is it? It is merely non-perception. Therefore, through the door of non-perception, even if it is established that there is no reason in some aspects of the dissimilar side, the reason has no connection with what is to be established.

Even if there is nothing to establish, doubt arises because of the reason that without it, it cannot be established in all things that have become inconsistent. Therefore, whatever does not return from the inconsistent side is a delusion with residue. Furthermore, it is said to accumulate other faults, if it returns because of not seeing, then the returner also becomes a reason. If you ask how, it is said, 'This living body,' etc. This is said in the way of becoming dust. The statement is, 'The living body has a self, because it has life,' etc., like this. Like this, no-self is without self. This is also said in other doctrines by making not seeing a conclusion. If it is not like that, how can the pot, etc., be without self? In seen and unseen things, because life, etc., are not seen, it is called not seeing life and breath, as well as smiling and opening. In seen things, it is not seen only because the nature is not observed, because life, etc., are the change of the characteristic of observation. In unseen things, it is also because it is similar to it. Returning from that, called returning from that no-self, only because life, etc., are not seen, it will be realized that the living body has a self. Fourth Chapter. If according to your view, how does it become a cause of hesitation? It is said that not seeing what is not to be seen, if I am not seen and not observed, it cannot be established without it in pots, etc., with the reason that pots, etc., have not established no-self, one cannot return life, etc., from no-self. Even if life, etc., have returned from pots, etc., however, returning from no-self is called nothing. If Buddhists promise no-self, therefore, because of the promise, pots, etc., are established as no-self, if the Buddhist's promise is valid, how can the living body be established as having a self now? Buddhists also think that it is also no-self. Promising that the living body is no-self is valid.
