It is not reasonable to understand it in this way. Why? Because there is no difference between what is taken and what is not taken. That which is taken in sequence is that, apart from the nature of what is taken, there is the nature of what is not taken. If it is said that it is grasped without sequence, therefore it is said, "sequence," and so forth. Why? Because the time of the expression of all speakers, and the time of hearing of the listeners, and the time of recollection, are completed by the sequence of many moments of an eye blink. That which has many moments in an eye blink is a many-moment eye blink. Their sequence also arises in sequence, because that sequence gives rise to each separately. The transformation of the sequence of many-moment eye blinks, which are composed of many moments, is the same in characteristics as the expression of a single word, and so forth. It is not the case that a single moment of consciousness holds speech. However, it is by many moments that have transformed into a sequence. This is the meaning of the summary. If it is said that this is held by the sequence of letters and words, and not by sequence, therefore it is said, "in the nature of the letter," and so forth. In the nature of the letter, there is no touch, meaning that it is separate from the nature of the letter, and that which appears in the moment of consciousness, the nature of sound, is not apparent. Why? Because it is known by the sequence of letters. That is, speech is known only by the sequence of letters. That which appears without sequence, made by letters, is without correct knowledge. Therefore, it is not appropriate to know speech separately by the sequence of letters. If there is no difference, it is also possible. If it is said that the letters have no difference, but the difference of speech is made by the sequence of letters, it is known to have a sequence, and it is not transformed all at once. When there is no dependence on what is made by the sequence of letters of speech, because there is no dependence on the benefit made by the sequence of letters, whatever letter, their sequence, in other sequences, or in other sequences, those that are well-combined, speech.

How can it be understood? If one fully connects by saying "there is an ocean," then one will understand that there is "ro." Because letters do not depend on help, even without letters, language can be understood. Even if one relies on the help of letters, the letters cannot help language. Why? Because those letters with order cannot help the language that has no order. If it is said that those with order help those with order, then it would become that which needs help is itself with order. But that is not the case, because even without letters, one can correctly understand. If it is said that letters cannot help those without order, then it is said "without order," which means that the letters are said to be without order, because they cannot be expressed. The lack of order in letters also does not truly provide help. Therefore, like this, there is no order, neither with order nor without order, there is no other form besides these, because there is no other form, so letters cannot provide help. There are no letters in language, because it is not the letter-nature of language, by what order of letters does it provide help? By understanding language through order, the oneness is lost. So what is it? If it is said that the change of meaning for letters is the nature of sound, the only one is the illuminator, the letters illuminate because they have order, therefore, by the power of the order of the illuminator, even though the one language is ultimately free from the distinction of order and letters, it still appears to a person as having order and the distinction of letters. The answer is, it is said that the illuminator, etc., because it is not reasonable to understand sequentially in one, etc., by the order of the illuminator, the language that is to be illuminated has already abandoned the lack of order, that is, it has already been answered. Why? Because in one, the nature of being manifest and not being manifest is impossible, because it is contradictory.

If there isn't a distinct essence of clarity apart from the nature of clarity, then what would make it clear later? To further refute the opponent, "speech" and so on are mentioned. If one admits that there is no letter or part in speech, that is, speech without letters and parts, then all beings would have no hearing, that is, without exception, they would not have heard. This is because one listens in accordance with the order of letters, so it means listening in segments. At some times, one will not hear and understand the truly partless speech. Why? Because a single speech has no parts, that is, no components. Whatever does not exist in something cannot be grasped by unerring wisdom. Furthermore, one cannot say that it is mistaken because the clarifier with order has bestowed benefit. Because it has already been said that it is not permissible to impose what is without order on what has order. If, even if following the clarifier with order is unreasonable, but because one admits it, one has heard the partless speech, then again, "also some" and so on are mentioned.
