Therefore, their connection is merely artificial. Through this means, namely through the means of connection as described above, if it is necessary for understanding the meaning, then, even if one claims that sounds are not artificial, that itself is an error, it is foolish, because artificial connection is admitted to be the root of error. Therefore, to conceive of it as non-artificial is meaningless, that is what it means. The reasoners also assert that the language of the Vedas is not artificial. Because the authors of the Vedas, the authors are not remembered, that is a sign. They explain with "this" and so on, merely because the authors of many things are not remembered, they are not non-artificial, like old wells and so on. Therefore, since the reasoning is mistaken, the language of the Vedas is not artificial because the author is not remembered, this is not logical, it is the assertion of a king (or a victor). Even for this kind of object, there is a subsequent statement. What should be said about this? In short, it is so evil, darkness pervades. Therefore, for the moment, the king's (or victor's) speculation that claims to be non-artificial merely because the author is not remembered, those who seek wisdom are like that, how much ignorance arises and occurs! Therefore, our minds are filled with wonder and subsequent compassion. The mind is filled with wonder and subsequent compassion. Even if it has been obtained, it is because it is harmed by similar ignorance. Because wonder and the bonds of ignorance cause suffering to beings, it is filled with subsequent compassion. Here, there are others as well. Now, following that argument, thinking that one is intelligent, he says this, and subsequently states: existence, namely samsara, is merciless and without compassion, what darkness harms it in a harmful way? Existence, harmful because of its mercilessness, is evil, darkness pervades. Here, ignorance itself is called evil, not a rational creature. Like this, exist-

Even flattering words can bring benefits. What fault is there in those who desire to gain benefits being deceived and confused by them? However, this fault lies solely in ignorance. Why is it said that way? Because they think that is seeking wisdom. Arguing in this way is unestablished and uncertain. Considering the case of being unestablished, it mentions "like this" and so on. The Tathagatas remember the eight authors of the Vedas, and so on. The word "and so on" includes short people, gods, and various virtuous friends, and so on. Those special people called "remnant eaters" consider Brahma, who possesses the essence of the earth element, to be the author of the Vedas. Therefore, not remembering the author is unestablished. If the Tathagatas and the remnant eaters say that remembering the author of the Vedas is wrong, then the argument is established, is that so? Now, besides the Vedas, what sound is created by humans? Nothing is created by humans, that is its meaning. "Like this" means that saying remembering the author is wrong. To clarify this, it mentions "youthful emergent" and so on. When the servants of the black treatises of "youthful emergent" and so on indicate that they or others are the authors, then your statement is wrong, because you are not the authors, and in that way, others will be refuted. If it is said that for "youthful emergent" and so on, the commitment to denying the author is harmful, because "youthful emergent" and so on are themselves created by humans, is that so? Not remembering the author itself is a part of committing to not being created by humans. Then, as said, the argument also exists in "youthful emergent" and so on. So, according to this reasoning, how can it be said that "youthful emergent" and so on are not created by humans? Who is harmed by whom? Even if the reasoning is the same, if it is thought that denying "youthful emergent" and so on contradicts the commitment, then the harm of the commitment is the Vedas.
