It is not, because it would become a fault of non-existence of the blind and so on. If it is not accepted, if one wants to explain the meaning, the knowledge of the conceptual thought arising from the sound of the listener, if it is not the appearance of one's own nature, then is one's own nature merely the meaning of the sound? Therefore, "proximate cause" and so on are mentioned. The proximate cause and the result are the proximate cause and the result. The knowledge of those is not the nature that appears to the conceptual thought, non-existence itself is its object, it cannot be determined to be merely the object of sound. Connect it in this way. Among them, the knowledge of the proximate cause is the cause of the sound of the conceptual thought that exists at the time when the speaker wants to teach. The knowledge of the result is the conceptual thought of the listener arising from the sound. That is not the meaning of the sound, whatever knowledge arises from the sound does not appear separately, this is the meaning of the summary. Only this much. Arising from beginningless habit. The conceptual thought is completely established. The meaning of sound, this is the explanation. The conceptual thought also, and so on, explains the remaining part of the verse, the conceptual thought of existence and non-existence and both is the knowledge of existence and non-existence and both, the power of the habit that is perfumed and abandoned by it, the conceptual thought that arises and is born from it, is called that. This also analyzes the phrase "dependent on both existence and non-existence." Because the dharma of existence and non-existence and both are spoken of with reason. Among them, what arises from the habit perfumed by the knowledge of existence is the dharma of existence, what arises from the habit of the knowledge of non-existence is the dharma of non-existence, and what arises from the habit perfumed by the knowledge of both is called the dharma of both. The appearance of consciousness and so on there, whatever aspect appears to the conceptual thought itself, is determined to be existence and non-existence, therefore it is called the dharma of existence and non-existence and both. Therefore, one's self determines the aspect itself as the nature of reality with conceptual thought, that is existence.

It is called Dharma. Similarly, one should also observe the dharmas of both existence and non-existence, as it is said. Therefore, relying on the nature of Dharma that appears in the mind, individuals rely on the place of deliberation on that nature of Dharma, and practice the existence or non-existence of external objects. For "what" and so on, the word of the self is spoken, and the meaning that appears in the listener's conceptualization is what appears from the word of the self, that is, whether things are possessed or not. The appearance of conceptualizations such as the self, in order to establish that things are not possessed, the appearance of conceptualization itself is the nature of the mind, each is its own awareness, because it is the direct perception of self-awareness, so it should not be abandoned, it is the nature of Dharma. If what appears in the mind is the nature of external self and so on, then it should not be abandoned either. If so, then the self and so on will also be established. If the self-nature of the self and so on is abandoned, then the appearance itself will be abandoned, because the self-nature and the appearance of conceptualization are the same. To this, it is said "that also" and so on, it cannot be said that the meaning that appears in the mind of conceptualization is also the self-nature. Why? It is said "unattained and ceased" and so on, even if the self-nature has unarisen and ceased, it is because it is not separated from the appearance of conceptualization. If only the self-nature of the external world becomes the appearance of conceptualization, then the unattained and ceased will be separated from their respective appearances. It is the same for the perversion of things, and it is the same for aspects, for those other heretical consciousnesses, that is, conceptualizations, that have the appearance of clinging to those appearances, because there is the appearance of the meaning of words, so it is related to the occasion where the appearance of conceptualization is not the self-nature. It is said that if the self-nature alone becomes the appearance of conceptualization, then because the self-nature is unique, for all schools, there is only one aspect.
