Needless to say. Severance is not reasonable in all cases. Since it is possible that the mind is free from desire and that the omniscient one is reliable, it should not be severed. The reliability of existence will be proven in the second chapter. Although it is so, if the minds of giving and refraining from harm have the nature of higher birth, then when they are grasped, they will also be grasped. If something is grasped and something is not grasped, then it cannot be its nature. Because that is harmful reliability. If the particularities of the gods themselves, etc., exist, and they undoubtedly do something, then is it that the invisible things, because they do not do things, are not existence itself, and that would become harmful reliability? Therefore, it is said, "Therefore," etc. "Therefore" is to summarize. "Here" is to grasp definitely, that is, from among the things of the immediately past era. In some thing or one's own essence, it should be appropriately combined according to the order of the scriptures. For some nature of the mind of giving, etc., it is not established that there is no knowledge. Why? Because there is no clear manifestation. Because in experiencing that realm, there is no ability to definitely generate the essence of the grasped nature. Because the nature, etc., do not produce the fruit of knowledge in some matter of the era, it is not established that there is no knowledge. Why is there no fruit? It is said, "The causes are," etc. The causes undoubtedly will not at any time initiate the grasped nature, that is, the fruit of knowledge, for all people. This is certain. Those eras of nature, etc., are not empty of meaning, because they are not the realm visible on this shore, so they are doing things. It is said, "Only this much" because there is no knowledge as stated above. It is not making it non-existent, that is, it is not the particularity of the gods themselves beyond the senses and the particularity of the nature such as the cause of higher birth.

Because there is no purity, merely the reversal of direct perception and inference does not contradict non-existence itself. As previously stated, it is not possible to prove that there is no knower for those who transcend the senses. Why? Because some are successively manifest. For example, in any case, in some cases, due to the distinction between high and low, even if the nature of what is seen cannot be determined, the seen is determined because of the appearance of phenomena such as manifestation. For example, objects accustomed to the six elements, etc. Similarly, for all things such as generosity, it should also be considered that those who can produce extreme manifestation are manifest. From the practice of yoga, the measure of existence will be explained. Similarly, some seeds and fruits are not fabricated, and at other times, the measure of the fruit appears clearly. Similarly, one should also consider those who transcend the senses. For example, for some similar ones, knowledge with the object of self is produced, or fruits such as plagues are produced. Therefore, for kalpas, not seeing the nature is not non-existence, nor is it the establisher, nor is it not seeing the fruit. For this reason, in order to explain that not seeing the cause is what establishes non-existence, in "not seeing the cause," etc., "not seeing the cause" means not seeing the cause is the fruit, the nature is the possession of kalpas, and non-existence itself is the establisher. It is explained by "one's own nature," etc. For establishing the non-existence of the nature of the realm of kalpas, not seeing the nature itself is not a measure, only not seeing the cause is the measure. Is it not because not seeing the cause itself cannot determine the realm of kalpas? Because nature, etc., act together with kalpas, they cannot determine the substance of cause and effect themselves. This is true, but in order to merely understand the non-existence of the unindicated realm, one can merely indicate the causelessness, and the fruits of the nature, etc., of kalpas will inevitably not change. The cause is stated only with this part. Therefore, "what is general," etc., is said. For example, for kalpas, not seeing the nature
