So. Therefore, the term "therefore" means for that reason. It is obtained that "this cause of destruction is of the nature of non-existence." If it remains as such, if there is something called "non-existence," when the cause of destruction transforms into the nature of a result, since sprouts and the like and passing away are the result itself, therefore, it itself is an existent, so it will not transform into the nature of non-existence. Therefore, if someone says, "This existent is made by the cause of destruction," then he will not prevent the action of this cause of destruction, saying, "It does not make an existent." Even if the action is prevented, why is this cause of destruction, which does not do anything at all? The existent should depend on destruction, in that way, the existent is established as not depending on destruction. Precisely because it does not depend, therefore, whatever changes by itself, what appears on some things, that is destruction. For other things as well, it is the nature itself that changes. It should be known that even if it is only the nature, if other things are not seen from this nature, it is also like that. When explaining with "that this" and so on, "this" refers to destruction. Likewise, for other things as well, it means for unseen things as well. Having the object of an existent means having the object to be established. The nature of the result means combining into the same basis. This is also the second word of the fifth chapter, which is made by the result and nature, etc. Whatever has inference following the sign of the result is called "such." Similarly, whatever infers by the sign of nature, the words should be connected in that way. For "the pervading to be established as it is itself," the cause of the result is the pervading to be established, and the nature of nature is also the pervading to be established, because for the to-be-established with a sign, the sign of the result and nature is what needs to be relied upon. Having made the power of non-apprehension, "entering" and so on are mentioned, because the entering with the characteristics of existence, certainty, and sound and terminology is itself with prior intelligence, itself with valid cognition going first. If its nature is not apprehended, the object of entering.

Even if its nature cannot be ascertained by direct perception and inference. By the words "one should not engage with conceptual thought," merely by this part, non-apprehension is also stated as valid cognition for objects that are not visible. Thirdly, the reason of non-apprehension is said to be that which causes understanding. Without distinction, that is, having abandoned the distinction of "visible object," generally speaking, it is about some things to be established. By the words "certainly exists" and so on, it shows that very meaning itself. The word "exists" should be applied to each one individually. The conceptual thought of existence that arises later from valid cognition is "certainly exists." The word "exists" that is only its subsequent arising is the word "exists." The usage of "it exists" in that way is the term "existence." The word "all alone" refers to both visible and invisible objects. In the Sutra, it is stated as the word of engagement, and in the commentary, it is also stated "certainly exists," etc. How is it that it is not without meaningful connection? Because it is stated "from certainly exists," etc., for the later arising things to be taken, abandoned, and set aside, which are experienced by direct perception, from the conceptual thoughts of taking, abandoning, and setting aside, that is, from certainly exists, sounds and terms, etc., will engage. Therefore, certainly exists, and the three, sound and term, are also each a part of engagement, and because it is the very nature of engagement, it is stated as engagement in the Sutra. Therefore, there is no contradiction between the Sutra and the commentary. Why does the term "existence" also revert when knowledge is reversed? Because knowledge itself is existence, and its non-existence is non-existence. Thus, non-apprehension itself is non-existence without distinction in both ways, as has already been said above. That non-existence is also spoken of in terms of the non-apprehension of the object of destruction, relying on realization, because the one who realizes does not perceive it as an object, therefore it is determined as non-existence, but not relying on the thing itself. Thus, for the meaning of destruction, existence and non-existence
