Like the transformation of firewood. The so-called transformation of firewood is like inferring the change of firewood from smoke. Here, both smoke and the change of firewood depend on a single aggregate, because they are produced by fire. When smoke infers its own cause, which is fire, it can also infer the ability to produce the change of firewood. The so-called "therein," etc., is an explanation, and the so-called "therein" is the cognition of form from taste. The so-called "only such a cause" refers to the cause of taste becoming the cause of the co-action of form. Thus, whoever has the ability to enter and is unobstructed is the one who has the ability to enter. It is both such and the proximate cause of form, so it is called the cause of taste, which is the condition for its co-action and produces taste. When such a cause is inferred, form is also indirectly inferred, because both form and taste depend on a single aggregate. The change of firewood is heat. Its proximate cause is wood. Its co-acting condition is fire, which is the same and similar to the production of smoke. Form and taste are also merely dependent on a single aggregate. Third fascicle. The so-called "thus," etc., is to establish the argument. The so-called "establishment of ability" is the sutra. The explanation of this is, the so-called "own cause," etc., the so-called "own cause" refers to the cause of taste. The so-called "for the production of fruit" refers to the production of taste. Manifestly inclined and without interruption is the absence of taste. The so-called "that itself" refers to the entry of ability. The explanation of the so-called "other cause" is, the so-called "proximate cause of form," etc., the proximate cause of form, that is, those gathered by the subtle particles of form in the previous moment, are the cause of manifesting entry to produce form. The proximate cause of form is only the co-actor of the cause of taste, because they manifestly tend to produce their own fruit. The proximate cause of taste

Entering is also, regarding the proximate cause of form, how does entering into the action of producing form occur? Regarding the proximate cause of taste, wherever it enters, the state of acting simultaneously with it is called that. Because it is so, therefore, what is said as "from what kind of cause" is that the proximate cause of form possesses ability, and is contained in the taste of the previous moment simultaneously with it, from the taste that wants to manifest as a sign, inferring one's own cause in that way by the sign of the fruit, that is, the proximate cause of form as previously mentioned, and simultaneously with it, when inferring, by the power of the characteristic of inferring the dharma of the cause, inferring and understanding the form simultaneous with oneself, just as the proximate cause of taste produces taste, the proximate cause of form also produces the form that arises simultaneously with taste, therefore, inferring one's own proximate cause, the proximate cause of form is possessing ability and simultaneous with it, because it is inference, so it is not directly a sign, because there is no connection. Precisely because of this, "Thus knowing the past time," what is said as past time, are those that arose simultaneously with the proximate cause of taste. Simultaneous are those that arise simultaneously with the taste that has become a sign. Knowing those, but not the future ones, because it is mistaken. What is mistaken? Because approaching the opposite condition, there is also the possibility of interrupting the continuum, so the proximate cause of taste is only the future, and it is not a mistake that the causes of form and taste act simultaneously with each other. If so, then how can inference be made for those of the past time and simultaneous? Therefore, understanding form and so on from the aspect of appearance, this is also produced from the sign of the fruit. The past times are produced from the sign of the fruit, if relying on this, then how are the simultaneous times? This has no fault. Like this, produced from the sign of the fruit, this has two meanings, temporarily when knowing those of the past, at that time it is both the fruit and the sign, therefore it is the fruit of
