It should be understood that this is an explanation of the nature of what can be done and what is to be accomplished. Twenty-first chapter. It mentions "the two kinds of conjunction, namely the two kinds of conjunction," and so on. What is meant by "others" is reasoning. A conjunction with the same nature is concomitant, while a conjunction with a different nature is contradictory. Aren't their concomitance and contradiction distinguished? If there is no dissimilar aspect, because there is no contradiction, and only the similar aspect exists, then that is concomitant. If, from the dissimilar aspect, there is only contradiction, because there is no similar aspect, then there is no concomitance, and that is contradictory. If it is said that the distinction is true, but such a distinction is not reasonable, because without contradiction there can be no concomitance, and without concomitance there can be no contradiction. Therefore, all reasons possess both concomitance and contradiction. However, due to the difference in conjunction, it is said to be concomitant and contradictory, and therefore it should also be acknowledged from the perspective of the object. To prove this, it mentions "the difference in conjunction," and so on. What is meant by "for these two" actually refers to the reasons for concomitance and contradiction. In their own nature, there is no subtle difference, because both possess concomitance and contradiction. What is meant by "except for the difference in conjunction" is that among concomitance and contradiction, some are shown by a conjunction of the nature of concomitance, and some are shown by a conjunction of the nature of contradiction, which is merely a difference in conjunction. If, for a conjunction with the same nature, the same nature can be understood, and for a conjunction with a different nature, a different nature can be understood, then is there also a difference in meaning? It is not so, because even for a conjunction with the same nature, in effect, or indirectly, from the dissimilar aspect to be proven, the contradiction of the reason can be understood as having a dissimilar nature. If that ability is not there, then...
