If only its own nature is examined, there will be no such thing as "other." Because for examining the result of the subject, such as permanence, those minds will invest in it, so it is called "having different objects." For discriminations such as rabbit horns, it is also because other discriminations are distinguished and attached to differences, so they exist in "having different objects." Does it only exist in the manifest realm that is its own basis, or does it exist and pervade all realms devoid of manifestation? Because it also exists in realms devoid of manifestation. If a vase that did not exist before arises in a realm devoid of vases, etc., then, for later vases, etc., how does the "universal" that exists in substances with different realms from them exist in those later vases, etc.? If the "universal" tends to substances that arise after the previous substance, then this has also been shown to be non-existent. Because it is said "because of what" and so on. "That" refers to the "universal." "From the previous substance" refers to the substance that arises from the relationship that is suitable for combination, it does not tend to things that did not exist before, such as the vase that is about to arise, because the "universal" itself is not a corporeal thing, so it has no function itself. If, like a mirror and an image, although it does not move from the previous substance, it has a different realm, then it is said "because of what" and so on. Among them, "the universal existing in others" refers to: from the substance that will arise, the reality of the "universal" existing in the substance with a different realm, it does not pervade between the two that do not move from the previous basis, it does not pervade between the two substances that arise before and after, it is unreasonable to have a substance with a different realm from its own basis, it should be connected in this way. If it is said that the image is related to a mirror with a different realm, then how can it not be confused? In this regard, the knowledge that follows the image appearing in the mirror produced by the power of aggregation is confused, as the Vajra Mirror Ornament Sutra and others say: "With conflicting shapes, The nature of things like mountains, Existence is impossible."

That is how it is said. For those who believe that things arise from other things, since (things) are not related to images, this is completely unreasonable. From the substance that is about to arise, the previous general nature also appears in the place of the substance that is about to arise, and it does not exist in an empty place, because that place has not been promised. If that general (nature) is not present after the manifestation arises, then, because the manifestation of emptiness has not been promised. That place also arises simultaneously with the manifestation, because there is no difference in manifestation, so it does not arise from some previous differences either, if that is the case, then what is said as "not established" is stated in a concluding manner. In whatever way, the form that the general (nature) has in other manifestations is not allowed, if it is also considered general, then this is a contradiction. Moreover, because it is very difficult for wise people to understand this, they are undertaking (this task). In order to explain this, "lifting up" and so on are mentioned. Because foolish people do not understand, even if they can distinguish between reason and unreason, how can wise people tolerate unreason? Therefore, "different from foolish people" is mentioned. Even if the general is with the author, it is false, even if that is the case, then it is unreasonable for it to exist in a manifestation that did not exist before. If this is the case, then it becomes an indivisible part, at that time, does it exist in the previous support with one part, or does it abandon the previous support and go to the substance that is about to arise with another indivisible part? In order to show that neither of these two situations exists, "not having parts" and so on are mentioned, in which the part of the phrase "previous support", and "the place different from the place to be produced" are alternately clarified. The "those" in it refers to the substances that arose earlier and later. It is explained by "different places" and so on, that is, other limbs, those that are different from each other, are related to it, because they are related to those different places. For manifestation, because it itself has limbs, other limbs will be related to other pots of cloth and so on. Rope and stick etc.
