It is not said that just because a tree is not seen, it is established that there are no leaves on the tree. However, where it is possible to definitely grasp only the tree, especially on the side where it is not leaves, etc., when one wants to realize that there are no leaves, because the tree is not seen, it is established that there are no leaves. There, the leaves cannot be established as invisible by nature, because there, the leaves are not the nature of being visible. Others say that impermanence and being made are established as the nature of being pervaded and pervading. When one wants to show the opposite, because there is no pervading impermanence, thereby showing that there is no being made, it is thought that if the pervading is invisible, then non-existence can be established. This "this is," etc., refers to a part of the verses of "fire meaning," etc. Establishing contradiction is because of seeing the contradiction of self-nature. With this example of self-nature contradiction, it should also be understood that it also speaks of establishing the contradiction of the pervading. For example, etc., are examples, hail is the special characteristic of cold touch with ice particles. Among them, the pervading is cold. The opposite of this is fire, because when fire repels the contradictory cold, it also repels the touch of the pervaded hail, so in reality, this is the gathering of self-nature contradictions. This "here there is no cold touch, because there is smoke," etc., the contradiction of cold is fire. Its result is smoke. It brings fire near, and it also eliminates cold. In short, this is the separate explanation of establishing contradiction and result. That which does not establish cause and nature is shown by way of example. Because the cause is not established, it is because the cause is invisible. This "here there is no smoke, because there is no fire," etc., the cause of smoke is fire. No fire is the ground, etc., that is devoid of it. For this, also, on any side, wherever the nature of fire and smoke being visible is invisible, it is like there is no fire.

Therefore, the absence of smoke is determined only by the non-apprehension of its own nature, so it is not appropriate to apply the non-apprehension of cause to it. However, in large lakes and other places where vapor rises, etc., one is deceived because it resembles smoke, and from the non-apprehension of its own nature, one is deceived because it resembles smoke, and from the non-apprehension of its own nature, one cannot ascertain the absence of smoke. Only when fire is absent is it established that there is no non-apprehension of cause. 'Because its own nature is not established' means because its own nature is not apprehended. Here, 'There is no smoke because it is not apprehended' should be regarded as becoming the characteristic of the object of apprehension. This refers to the application of the non-apprehension of its own nature. It is also pervasive and its own nature, and the non-apprehension of that which is not established is also explained. For example, 'There is no shapa tree here because there is no tree.' The entity of a tree is different from a shapa tree, because a shapa tree is only a distinction of a tree. In establishing absence, 'absence' and 'the term of absence' are explained in the sense of 'absence,' and are synonymous with 'establishing absence' and 'establishing the term of absence.' 'In all' means combining from the perspective of establishment and negation. Those that contradict them, 'established' and 'not established,' are not combined in order. However, as appropriate, those that establish absence by absence, such as causes, etc., which are observable entities, those alone are not established, and those that contradict them, contradicting the meaning to be negated, such as contradiction of own nature, etc., which are observable entities, those alone are known to be the sign of establishment. Here also, the sixth group of 'observable entities, etc.' and 'those that contradict them, etc.' are not of the same entity, because it is established as an observable entity only by the word 'established.' Unobservable entities have no object of apprehension. However, it should be combined by saying, 'If those that contradict it, desiring to negate, do not agree with the observable entities, then those are the sign of establishment.' Why? Because other unobservable entities such as causes are also not absent.
