If asked how is it? It is after ascertaining that it is capable of functioning, even if it does not actually function, it is still held to be capable of functioning. The term "on that itself" refers to the object of the discriminating consciousness of conceptualization. If asked what does it become like? It appears like a nature mixed with the causes of delusion, that is, it appears like a nature mixed with various forms such as the arising of other similarities, being examined by the causes of delusion, and so on. Like the established convention, what is made into a convention for the purpose of distinguishing? That is the function of those sounds such as impermanence, for the purpose of distinguishing contradictions. In order to show accordance with the convention, when proving by one, the word "also" etc. is mentioned. The word "also" means "for what reason", because it functions as agreed upon, therefore when proving by one sound, the sound does not distinguish others. Why? Because the conventions are determined separately, because sound is used to distinguish one. For terminology as well, understanding that distinction, that is its meaning. Since sound is mentioned, because it is an approximate representation, it should be understood that it is the same with reasoning. It is not just about expressing the distinction of others, but because it is a special thing, therefore, in the meaning of sound, will that state of completely expressing through the power of excluding other things change? It says "through distinguishing things" etc., in which the word "also" is the meaning that must be grasped, the sound or the thing of reasoning slightly distinguishes, although it is only without omission, but the thing that is expressed, and through the power of the thing, because the thing without omission is the thing without parts, therefore all dharmas will be realized, because the dharmas do not turn back from that. Special completely eliminated, beneficial to various specialties, not other than the limb's ability, self completely held, through these to prove holding everything. If asked why these sounds do not omit things? It says "sounds etc.", that is,

Because the appearance of the conceptual mind lacks substance, it is a deception of the mind. If why can't one fully understand with the power of the object to be expressed by the mind's deception? And so on, it is said. Because the appearance is also not different from consciousness. Like consciousness, when that object is spoken of, isn't it possible to fully understand with the power of the object? It is not possible, because when consciousness is not different from that and becomes its own nature, like consciousness, when it becomes self-awareness, that is not to be spoken of as the nature of the external object. That is clinging to the meaning of the external object, when it appears as the general characteristic of the external object, because it appears to the consciousness arising from sound, it is not what is to be expressed by sound, nor is it to say that from the aspect of the nature of consciousness, as it is said: Because of conceptualizing the meaning, one does not want to conceptualize self-awareness. If all sounds are the objects of the mind's deception, then how can the sounds of the conditioned and impermanent, etc., not be confused about the true meaning? Therefore, it is said this term, etc., uncreated and permanent, etc., that is the meaning of experiencing different meanings from that meaning. This is to be combined with the term. How is it? It is said many dharmas, etc., because it is both many and one, so it is many and one. That is both and is also dharma, so it is said to be karma. From then on, the sounds of different and not different are divided into three words, many dharmas and one, different and not different, because they appear separately in consciousness, so it is appearance. That is delusion, because it is deception. Following that is entering in that way. Because it is the reason. That is, it is related to that term, if there is a relationship that arises from transmitting one's own nature that has become like that, then that is not deluded, because it is not deluded about the object. Just as the sounds of the conditioned and so on are not deceived, the objects are also the nature of the conditioned and so on.
