If a result arises from a cause that produces a distinct and correct difference from co-action, then the difference itself should not arise. If a difference arises from something that is not distinct, then the result will also change, because co-action does not depend on each other to produce differences, nor will it produce a result. Therefore, those that are not momentary and do not depend on co-action will also become causes, and from those that are dependent, the essence itself will not produce a difference. However, even if a difference arises, only the difference produced by co-action will remain, and in that way, there will be no end. Co-actors, by what means, these differences produced by each other, and those that are constantly associated with them, that are in accordance with the production of results from each other, and that are capable of producing differences, are also not permanent, because seeing their existence and non-existence, the result will appear and not appear. Therefore, the first difference should not be one that the co-actors have not helped. I say, there is no fault in speaking repeatedly, and even if it is so, if the world can understand the reason, it should be spoken repeatedly. Co-actors, by what means, because without it, they will not become co-actors in producing differences, and merely producing differences is not co-action itself. What then? It is also because of doing the same thing. If for those who have no difference from each other, then that is also not there. However, if it exists, then it will also exist separately. If that is the case, then will the result arising from that difference also arise from only one? For each moment, how do other conditions produce the difference in the continuum of things, and the particular circumstances such as suitability of place, etc., from where do those that produce results arise, and how can they not arise from one alone, even though they each have the ability? Because the differences of the agent exist and do not exist separately, and the difference produced by the co-action of the two results is the nature of arising, and others, such as sprouts, etc., and the root consciousness that arises without stopping.

For example, because the nature of the fruit and the cause are different, all of this has been explained. Among those things that act together, the first characteristic of acting together for the cause of the fruit that depends on continuous assistance is that it is not something that arises from the characteristic of acting together, like a fruit with subsequent results. Whatever characteristics there are after that, they are generated from it, because they and those things have the same nature, so they are not without end. If, like the cause of the first characteristic, a non-momentary thing, even if it has not produced a special transformation, can it still produce a fruit? Production is acceptable. If the nature of this thing is such that it does not remain but has the nature of producing, then it has already been explained that things that exist separately may also produce in this way alone. If it is not its nature, then at that time it will not produce either. Therefore, the phrase "there is nothing that is separated from what follows" should also be added. Among them, preventing distinction is negation, and indirectly understanding the remainder through it is following. The so-called "for one that follows," etc., is to establish that tenet itself. The so-called "for one that follows" means that if there is nothing to be completely abandoned or distinguished for one to be established, then the expression is without result. For example, if one says, "Cut the tree," if one does not indirectly distinguish what is not a tree, then at that time the application of the word "tree" becomes fruitless. Therefore, there is no following of something that is not separated from negation. Similarly, the so-called "for one that is completely abandoned" means that if, for one to be negated, there is no existence in some object that has not been made an object by negation, then the expression is without result. For example, in prohibiting drinking in the context of alcohol, if drinking does not exist in anything other than alcohol, then at that time it is meaningless to make a distinction in prohibiting drinking in all contexts. Therefore, merely negating drinking, saying "do not drink alcohol," because the meaning of the word has already been analyzed, although the word does not prove the opposite of drinking, it is still assumed that drinking exists in things other than alcohol.
