Other sound combinations should also be explained, and the same applies to measurable sounds. Similarly, regarding the statement "all conditioned phenomena are momentary," some consider it to be only the moment itself, not all phenomena. To distinguish that "all" is not the case, it is said, "all conditioned phenomena are momentary." Likewise, when doubting "did some come? Did all come?" by saying "all the pots have come," it is to distinguish the doubt about only some having come. Similarly, for the sound of sound that belongs to conventional terms, one should also appropriately distinguish and explain according to the situation. The summarized meaning here is not that one should divide objects of apprehension by different minds into two categories and then express them with a sound that excludes others. However, if the listener imputes such an appearance to something that is not so, that too should be distinguished by sound. To clarify this, "for that" and so on are stated. It should be pointed out that the place of ignorance should not be dispelled by sounds such as "precisely." If the listener has no doubt about anything, then "if there is no doubt" and so on are stated. If this person has no doubt about anything and has a definite understanding that is true as it is, then at that time, does the speaker need the advice of others? He only thinks like that. What purifies the listener is the removal of doubt. For words that do not remove doubt, that is without purifying the listener. The speaker who speaks such words is also like a madman. Therefore, the speaker desires that the listener's doubts be removed, and therefore combines sounds. Why? Because it is only for the sake of purifying the listener that sounds are refined, because it is only for the sake of purifying the listener. Because the sounds are refined, one abides in these words and so on, and for things that belong to the meaning of conventional terms, is there the distinction as previously stated? Distinguishing with sounds such as "is there?"

So, how are those who are unattached and free from any category understood? For them, there is no place for doubt for the enlightened ones, and so on, it is said. There is no sound that expresses that does not belong to the category of speech, what does this mean? Sounds are understood to have meaning through the power of combination, and this combination exists only in correct combinations. To illustrate this, it is said, "words belonging to speech," and so on, because only it has meaning, I think so. Grammarians recite "all" and "complete" etc. in the collection of words, or clearly analyze by distinguishing roots and suffixes, similarly, those who clearly define the function of words should also regard those things that stay on the words like pictures drawn on the wall as a method of understanding, and those things have no meaning for worldly people. Therefore, only the meaning of words that stay on speech is meaningful, and only the meaning that stays on it is thought about. To illustrate this, it is said, "for whom," and so on. The so-called "those" refers to those who stay on speech, that is, the object of combination that should be thought about, the meaning of the word is called excluding others. For those who do not belong to the combination of words such as knowledge, since it is impossible to have meaning, there is not even thinking. Therefore, it is said, "for those who have not explained the combination." This is both a combination and an explanation, so the genitive case is used and combined with "later without." Asking what is the meaning of the unattached and free one who has not closely combined with words such as knowledge for those who have not explained the combination is a summary statement. If you ask why the sound of free knowledge has no meaning? It is said, "from that," and so on. Because from the sound of knowledge, there is no realization of anything. Because in terms with affirmative and negative results, there is no combination of the sound of free knowledge, how can one understand the meaning from it? When is the sound knowledge in the nature of impermanence etc.? Or
