Having completely abandoned non-trees from the ground, it will not change to apply to those that are definitely endowed with branches, etc., but it will apply to ordinary trees and non-trees. If asked, what is it like? It is like the distinction of trees, the sound called "tree," after being separated from occasions, etc., for the distinction of trees, sandalwood, etc., after abandoning the distinction of other trees besides that, it will not change to apply, because at the time of naming, those are not distinguished. It is explained by "at the time of naming," etc., the sound called "naming" shows that it is the time of naming. "Without distinction" means that from other non-trees, the meaning of tree is not distinguished. In the second explanation, for other non-trees, the sound called "tree" is not distinguished, it should be explained in this way. Placement is naming. "After completely abandoning it" means after completely abandoning non-trees. The explanation of "like the distinction of trees" is like the distinction of trees, sala, etc., the trees sala, etc., themselves are the distinction, this is an abbreviation of the word distinction. In the sutra, "like the distinction of trees" is made a sixth-case abbreviation, the trees sala, etc., themselves are the distinction of trees, therefore it is consistent with the explanation, because for those, how from the sound called "tree," they do not apply by mutually distinguishing, just like this, it has already been said in the sutra distinction itself. "However," etc., is to welcome other doubts, some do not establish the object of naming, nor do they deny anything other than that, if it is not established, nor do they deny others, thus two negations are put forward. This seems unreasonable, because apart from establishment and negation, sound cannot be applied. Also, "Standing in front, after clearly showing one." This is also wrong, because saying to show it is promising establishment. Therefore, if it is not established, and it is also clearly shown, these two words become contradictory. Therefore, only this "not established" should be regarded as negation, if denying others, not established, it should be said in this way. After first denying others, then

Because it does not establish other objects of designation at all, it means: without making an establishment that precedes refutation, it merely makes an establishment. Therefore, it is said, "Having well shown one present before." The commentary also says, "To separate in some way is not just to say a little, but to only establish an establishment that precedes the elimination of others, and to promise only the establishment. The so-called 'one' is the general. This shows that because this is a designation for the general, it is a designation for all that appears. The so-called 'This is a tree' shows the nature of one's own designation. Whatever thing is well shown and then designated, it will also be understood at the time of naming, because of that reason, it is thought that there is no fault just mentioned in speaking of the general thing. The so-called 'only the meaning of seeing' is the general that is the object of designation. What is related to it is the basis related to the general. The so-called 'also to that' there are two investigations into designating only with establishment: designating with 'This is a tree', saying 'This is also a tree', or saying 'Only this is a tree'. If according to the first way, because it does not prevent others from also being trees, it will not definitely enter at the time of naming, so it is the same fault. If it is said 'Only this is a tree', then at that time it is promised to distinguish that it is not a tree. Therefore, in order to be firm at the time of naming, how does one know what is a tree and what is not a tree? It is still on the edge of that fault. In order to show that, it is said, 'There is no reversing fault'. 'Having well shown one' etc. is to explain, that is, 'This is also a tree' or 'Only this is a tree', the way is the kind. The so-called 'also to those' applies to both ways. It is said 'From what is seen by others' etc., because it is easy to know what is the opposite of the way that is seen and experienced, and what does not match that nature. In short, explain this key point with 'one', 'some' etc., that is, seeing 'one', 'some' of the general of trees etc., and with that general
