Therefore, the minds that grasp their own characteristics, even though they are distinct, are not distinct because the result is one. Thus, by the imputed oneness, the experience of oneness, whatever is the single mind, the appearances caused by the causal objects of that single mind are also non-different. Why is it that the imputed oneness is not the object of acceptance? Because it is said, "How," and so on, because, "Why is it that all things by their own nature, abide in their own essence?" It has already been said there. The "that" here refers to those without mixed distinctions. A mind with a single aspect is only mistaken because it apprehends that which is not it. If that mistake is produced by what? If it is said to be without cause, that is not reasonable. Therefore, it is said, "That," and so on, that mistake is produced by the sequence of different things, the reversal of their own characteristics, but in reality it is not so. The explanation of what is said to be "sequence" is, by those that have become the cause of conceptualization, that is to say, experiential knowledge is the cause of conceptualization, therefore it is called conceptualization, by the cause of conceptualization, the causes of experiential knowledge, is the meaning of this phrase. The meaning of "sequence" here is that the appearances produce experiential knowledge, and it produces the mistake of a single aspect, this is the meaning. "Essence" is "nature." The word "also" is said to follow "has also been said," that is to say, this has also been said at that time. By "these," and so on, is the meaning of the summary sentence, that "that" is the distinctness of these things, that is, the elimination of other things. What is the nature? It is distinct from the nature of non-doer, that is to say, this is the non-difference of these. Why? Because the meaning of knowledge, etc., sense consciousness, water, drinking water, etc., is to make one. "Some" refers to that which is in accordance with one's own nature, this is the explanation of the lower half. That "that," and so on, is the explanation of the upper half.

The phrase "knowledge and other fruits also appear non-different" should be connected to it. "By nature" means the essence itself. "Clinging to non-difference" means particularly clinging to non-difference. Such understanding and so on indicate that all appearances are also the cause of discrimination through transmission. "Knowledge and so on" means the knowledge of experience, and because it is the cause of things like water and water nature, all appearances also gradually generate one knowledge. It should be connected in this way. If asked what kind of difference there is? Then "mixed aspects" and so on have been mentioned. That is, whatever mixes and imputes one aspect to all appearances is called that. The difference of the self-nature of the basis is different from others, and this is the ultimate truth, not the falsely established non-existent. The sentences should be connected in this way. Discrimination comes through the gate of the difference of its own characteristics. If asked, is the meaning of "that is a different thing" and so on not just what was said just now? Answer: Indeed. However, this only clarifies those who gradually become the cause of discrimination. If asked, will one fruit become a general object? Answer: "Therefore" and so on have been mentioned. That is, what is separated from its non-fruit nature and is different is the nature of one fruit, but it does not become a general object. Why? Because apart from appearances, no object that follows its own characteristic difference has been seen, and the prohibition has been mentioned earlier. "Followable" and so on are explanations, and followable is what becomes the characteristic of the object. "Discrimination" means separation from all appearances. Even if there is a general characteristic, because of investigation and so on, because it cannot be taken out, if it does not rely on any difference of appearance, how can it be the cause of knowledge? No. Therefore, what is manifested by reliance is considered to be the cause of knowledge. This has also been said, and should be connected to this sentence, because it has also been said before. Why, such a general thing
