Because of clinging to the notion of "similar," establishing different appearances on the manifested things is also contradictory. If these manifestations are the same, then how can they be considered as the sole object held by different minds? It must be determinedly held, otherwise it will also become an object not held by non-different minds. This is the final conclusion. It is like, for things that have a little in common and also a little difference, they are considered similar. But for things that are completely the same or completely different, they are not considered that way. It is indicated by "in itself it is similar" and so on. For these manifested things, this shows the nature of difference. Is it not considered a non-different manifestation? This is derived from the word "established." This explains the common nature. Therefore, in order to hold the common and non-common nature, it is considered similar on the manifested things, which is the meaning of the summary. The teacher said "when seeing it" and so on, and "when seeing it" refers to the consciousness that holds the manifestation. The so-called "different, non-different" refers to the difference and commonality. What is meant by "same result" is how the manifested things with different characteristics can also produce the same result, which has already been explained. Because the same result is their similarity, they are known to be the same only through the similarity, not because of holding the difference and non-difference. Why? Because I said "for the consciousness of things" and so on, and "for the consciousness of things" refers to the consciousness of experience. The so-called "two aspects" refers to difference and non-difference. The so-called "detailed observation of the two" refers to detailed observation of the nature of similarity and dissimilarity. The so-called "in the realm of cognition itself" refers to the realm of conceptual thought that fabricates it as the same. The so-called "through this" refers to the mind of conceptual thought. The so-called "like that" refers to the nature of similarity itself. Others said "through them" and so on, if the result of these manifested things is wisdom, then it is also different, which is only part of the verse. It is explained in detail by "each and every thing" and so on, thing

For a pot and an object, the consciousness that manifests them is also like that. The consciousness that manifests clarity is also similar to that, because they are different in clarity. Just as their respective characteristics are completely different, the consciousnesses that experience them are also different from them, so how can clear things be the same result? They are not the same result. If it is said that the consciousness of experience is not the same result of clear things, but depends on something conceptual to attach its essence, then, therefore, it is said "their" and so on. The fruit of those clear things is the consciousness of experience, not the consciousness of conception, because even if there are no clear things, it exists. When the concept of "similar" arises, what is similar about clear things? Because some people think that only some clear things are similar, not all, it is said that this determines the similarity of the same result. Therefore, it is unreasonable to establish the same result only by relying on conceptual consciousness. Therefore, if only the consciousness of experience is the true similarity of clear things, then it is also different. If it is said that water and drinking water, etc., are the same result, then, it is said "pot, etc." and so on. Through the word "etc." in "the result of pot, etc., water and drinking water, etc.", things like using cloth to ward off the cold can be included. The so-called "each thing" refers to being different through the difference between things. The teacher said "that" and so on. It is said like this: clear things are the same result only by relying on the consciousness of experience, and those consciousnesses that know their own characteristics are not the same because of the similarity of the same result, but because their own characteristics are not different. Although clear things do not directly produce consciousness that understands in one way, the consciousness that focuses on them and knows their own characteristics is the reason for understanding as one.
