Those unreal conceptualizations are both the observed and the object, therefore, they are the objects of observation. Such a reason will only lead to not obtaining meaning, and will not only obtain meaning. The characteristic of the second relationship, such as "the result is also," etc., is mentioned, and "its own nature" refers to the nature of the result. "Because it arises from it" refers to the reason for arising from the cause. For those who do not consider inference itself to be valid, "these two" etc. are mentioned, and it should be connected with "the knowledge of the inferable itself is valid." "These two" refer to the nature of self and the nature of result, which are produced from signs. Since non-apprehension is included in the nature of reason, it is said to be two. The nature and cause of the inferable are knowledge, therefore it is the knowledge of the inferable. Even if it is not appearance itself, it refers to the characteristic of the nature of the inferable even if it is not appearance. "It is not appearance itself" is because it is not produced from reality. So, how is it not confused? "Because it arises from it" is mentioned, referring to the reason for the inferable arising from self and cause. There is no confusion there, which means the inferable is not confused. Therefore, the cause is valid, like what? Like direct perception. By "direct perception itself is also" etc., pervasiveness is shown, and if there is no meaning, it is nothing, therefore direct perception is the only one without meaning confusion. If it is not so, it is not there, because direct perception arises without meaning, because there is confusion there, because it deceives meaning. What else is more important than arising from it without confusion? It refers to, whatever is not the nature, and does not confuse with self and others, what else is more important than arising from it? No, the only thing that does not confuse is arising from it. Why? Because not relying, the nature of no relationship, there is no certainty of arising together, so there is no certainty of not being confused.

Therefore. Therefore, the unmistakenness of direct perception arises only from things, so it is a valid means of knowledge, and this is also present in inference, so it is thought that the two are the same. The other party says, because it arises from understanding, that is, from it, and so on. If it is said that because it arises from what is to be proven, the result becomes the understanding of the cause, then a fault will occur. Because in any case, it will become what is to be understood and what can be understood, because the characteristics of fire, such as brightness, etc., will also become what is to be understood, and the nature of smoke, etc., will also become what can be understood. Why? Because in any case, there is what can be produced and what is produced. Because there is no part that does not produce fire, or does not produce smoke. In any case, there is what can be produced and what is produced, this is not without. Why? Because without it, that is, without fire, nature, etc., will arise. Like this, nature, etc., is also present in other things that are not smoke, so the nature, etc., without difference, cannot be inferred from it. Similarly, without it, that is, without the characteristics of brightness, etc., that fire has, merely producing smoke, it cannot be determined that it arises from it, because it cannot be determined that it arises from the characteristics that fire has. Therefore, the characteristics of fire cannot be known merely through smoke. For what reason is it like that? Therefore, it is said, "How many natures are there on the cause?" etc. On the cause, is the seventh case of the place. Nature is a synonym for dharma, that is, the dharma that exists on the cause, in general, if there are not many results that do not arise, such as smoke, etc., then they are the reasons for understanding them. Not through characteristics. Why? Because it is determined to be their result, that is, smoke is determined to be only the result of those dharmas that pervade smoke, that is, smoke is only dependent on the general dharmas that fire has, that is the result. For the time being, then, what is to be understood is
