Even if smoke is seen, it cannot be established as fire simply because it is in the stove, because the illusion is seen. Like this, for such a nature, those with causes similar to this gathering are allowed to be called fire. If it is not like this, then the subsequent inference is a delusion with residue. Furthermore, what is meant by "having residue"? Merely because something is not seen, it strongly shows the opposite, which is the cause of doubt, therefore it is called having residue. Its opposite is uncertain, therefore doubt will arise about entering into inconsistent aspects, because merely not seeing the establishment of the opposite is the cause of doubt. Not all non-apprehensions are establishing. Therefore, wanting one to disappear so that the other disappears, it is necessary to acknowledge that there is some kind of natural connection between them. If it is not like this, then the reason cannot be understood. For the three aspects of reason, definite statements are made in order to counter non-establishment, opposite meaning, and having delusion. If there is no connection, then subsequent going and opposite certainty do not exist, therefore showing that itself is stating certainty. Among these, subsequent going certainty eliminates contradictions and aspects consistent with it. The opposite is uncertainty and aspects consistent with it, such as having residue and so on. "Both" refers to negating the establishment of one. Saying "completely established" includes having residue and uncommon doubts for consistent and inconsistent aspects. If it is not like this, that is, if there is no connection, and it is opposite merely because it is not seen, then, for the antidote to having delusion, whatever states an inconsistent dharma, temporarily as an antidote to contradiction and uncertainty, whatever needs to state both, this is reasonable, this is what is said, stating an inconsistent dharma is an antidote to uncertainty. If it is the result of not seeing, if it shows the non-apprehension for an inconsistent dharma, it will be understood even if it is not stated. For that, the illusion of seeing what was previously stated does not exist. If language makes one remember what is not seen

If so, is it appropriate to establish mindfulness on what is not a branch because it is not understood? Not seeing is not seeing, so it will be harmed by seeing. If it does not exist, then it is only established, so it is meaningless to say it in order to establish it. If it is said that it is not right to say that it does not exist just because it is not seen, then that is why it is said. Then, with the word "no," if it is not just no, then, if you say how it is not the reason, then at that time it will be understood as "no." If it is not understood as "no" because it is not seen, then saying it will not be understood either, because that is also just saying not seeing. Not seeing one thing is not establishing that another does not exist, because it would be too extreme. Saying "it does not exist" will not be like that either, because it would be too extreme. Therefore, how can uncertainty be eliminated by saying incompatible dharmas? Therefore, if you want to reverse, you must say what reason can be called "reversal." If you say that not seeing it does not exist, does that not establish reversal? If not seeing can reverse, why would it be a deluded person with residue? For example, these fruits are ripe, or this taste is delicious, because there is no difference in shape, or because they are produced from one, like something that has been eaten. For this, if everything that you want to say is classified into one category, then because there is a reason for not seeing on something that does not need to be established, how can it be a delusion? Some say that this is a delusion because they suspect that it will be harmed by direct perception. No, because it does not exist on the object that has been classified. If you say, if it is like this, will it change? If it is necessary to be like that, it will be too extreme, because it cannot be determined that others do not exist either. Validity harms when it is established, but if it harms when it is not established, then everything cannot be trusted. Reversal is only establishing existence, therefore, such a nature depends on certainty. Through the way of not seeing, even if non-existence is established in some things, but there is no connection, even if it does not exist, it cannot be established that everything does not exist. Because there will be doubt, not having reversal is having residue.
