For the fully accomplished wise ones, it is sufficient to state only the reason. For what reason should an example be given? Because that meaning is already established, so what is the use of stating it at that time? Even if it is well shown, one would think, "What should be done with the basis of dissimilar examples?" and thus abandon the basis. Therefore, if the connection is known, by stating either of the two, through understanding the meaning, correct recollection will also arise for the other. Or, it is said that by understanding the meaning, either one is stated in order to well show both. There, it is also considered that the example well shows its own nature and the entity of the cause. By understanding the meaning, stating one establishes the other. For example, if it is said, "Whatever is made is impermanent," if there is no difference in meaning, it will be clearly determined that "This is merely the nature of this, and is related to what is seen by valid cognition," because its existence is determined. Therefore, by knowing its nature, if impermanence does not exist, then what is made does not exist, it will be thought. Without its own nature, it will not exist, because there is no difference. If it is not like that, it will not become the statement "It exists." Similarly, if it is said, "If it does not exist, then it does not exist," from recognizing its own nature, it is like this, "This is the nature of this, therefore if it does not exist, then it does not exist." If it is not like that, it is not allowed. Therefore, by realizing its own nature, subsequent recollection arises. Similarly, if it is said, "Wherever there is smoke, there is fire," smoke is the result of fire, therefore if there is smoke, then there must be fire. If it is not like that, because there is no certainty that another meaning is related to it, it will become self-nature independent. Therefore, even if it does not exist, it will not not exist, because its own nature is not incomplete. If it is a result, then there must be a cause. The cause is the cause itself, that is the only one, if there is another meaning, that is what establishes its own nature. The result also exists only when it exists. That also exists in smoke. Therefore, through the subsequent recognition that "smoke is the result," by knowing its result nature, if there is no fire, then there is no smoke, through meaning to

Therefore, by negating, the reverse relationship can be understood. Similarly, if it is said that there is no smoke without fire, then it can be understood through force that smoke necessarily arises from fire. If it is not like that, how can it exist if it does not exist? Even if the result of the meaning of permanence and impermanence itself is not, if they do not exist, is the knowledge of hearing not non-existent? It is not non-existent, because from that, they themselves will have doubts. If it is not like that, because it is determined by non-existence. How does it become doubt by relying on their own nature? Because there is no certainty of existence, it is merely said that it does not exist. When the fire and smoke in the example do not show as things of cause and effect, then because there is no connection. Where there is smoke, there is fire, it will not even become like that, there is no smoke without fire, the reverse relationship is established through force. Similarly, because the non-conforming Dharma cannot establish non-existence. How can one think of remembering the subsequent relationship? Because if it is impossible for it not to exist, if one exists, the other should be completely established. The example merely shows the nature relationship as stated. Therefore, cause and nature. In order to establish some non-existence. It is a reason, because they only reverse their own relationship when reversed, therefore, because they want to negate and establish some other meaning. Cause or nature, universally existing, should be said to be the reverse reason. If there is no connection, then how does one establish the reversal of the other through the reversal of one? In particular, it refers to: that which has attributes also becomes without attributes. It is a negative reason. The reason for the words with a negative object is called that reason, because such non-appearance is the nature of self-negation. Not appearing cause and difference is the reason for both. Thus, these three non-appearances. Although said, there are many ways. Contradictory to that and so on. Through the combination of not understanding and understanding distinction. There are only three negative reasons: cause and universal existence are so certain, and one's own nature can appear but does not appear. That is through the power of combination, not understanding contradictory to that and so on.
