Because it is impossible to completely sever the self-nature of all existing things. If this were the case, it would become omniscient, so it is not a refutation. If it is said that one's own cognition can completely sever others, then, if one imposes what one has witnessed on others in this way, wouldn't it be too much? If it is said that what contradicts what is seen is not imposed, if the reasoning is the same, why not impose it? Or rather, that is not reasoning, because it may harm things that have characteristics. Merely witnessing is not enough. So what is it? Even from the opposite side, it is so, if because there is not that, one does not impose on others, then, those who enter into it and doubt it, because it is not established, it is not imposition. Those are because they themselves can be observed and contradict the contradiction, so it is not something that should be imposed, whatever excludes the inconsistent aspects and determines it as one, the unobservable things will not contradict their own inconsistent aspects either. One's own inner Dharma is not something that others can recognize. Because it can be rationally proven to be associated with something, this vase that is called by name, even the common characteristics of women and outcasts cannot be understood, which shows that the perfect fruit of intellectual labor has been achieved. Therefore, it is not easy to establish merely by what one has witnessed, because that alone is not enough to prove universality. Therefore, it is reasonable to doubt the opposite. From the characteristics of non-manifestation mentioned earlier, it should also be recognized that such behaviors are the cause of doubt. The desire possessed by the characteristics of recollection is also because the meaning is different. What is not understood should be understood from words, because there is no connection. If there is no desire, there are no words, so the determination of the opposite is non-existent. Shaking and words, etc. are not the result of desire, etc., because the desire to express is a universal cause. If that is desire, because of wanting, there is no fault. Attachment to the views of permanence, happiness, self, and what belongs to self, taking contaminated Dharma as the object, and being very happy with untrue merits, this is called desire. For the object of joy that is inconsistent

Disturbance by a mind that has understood is hatred. The basis of reversal, which is preceded by duality, is ignorance. Compassion and so on are not like that, because there are other reasons, as explained in the Commentary on Valid Cognition. In this regard, just as one speaks of being with attachment, speaking of being without attachment is merely words and cannot be understood. It is not because of the difference either, because the mind is difficult to understand, and because of the confusion of words, everything will be confused. If you say that you do not speak because there is no doubt, it is not so, because it is for the sake of others. If you say that it is not reasonable because it is without attachment, it is not so, because compassion also enters. If you say that it itself is attachment, it is not denied to be called attachment. The nature is not different. Because the very appearance of joy in unpleasant things is the connection. Therefore, that which arises from non-reversal is without fault. Although compassion does not have self-grasping, it arises from the power of habituation merely from seeing the difference of suffering, as it says in the sutra: Loving-kindness and so on are taught as focusing on sentient beings and so on. Those also enter from habituation of the same kind. Attachment and so on are not like that, because they do not exist without reversal. If you say that the actions of those with compassion are fruitless, it is also from reversal, it is not so, because the benefit of others itself is considered the fruit, because that is the nature of the fruit. If the speaker himself sees attachment and so on, and infers others from that, it has already been said that it will be too extreme. If you do not infer others because of confusion, what certainty is there that "this is not confused"? What has not been seen has already been said. Seeing this shore, this allowable nature, is seeing it change together or not, but it is not certain that the meaning of the only hidden thing is not there. Therefore, words do the qualities of action and inference. If you say that here too, inferring from seeing oneself is not like that, this fault is the same, it is not so, because those here are from following and reversing as cause and effect.
