Here, there is no dependence on other distinctions. If sound itself changes in this way, then it will be established in the very indication of the aspect, because later it will only change in this way by itself. Therefore, it is not established as a reason in itself. If asked how sound is not established, sound is established, but because it is not established as the nature of its own reason, it is said to be not established. That sound, as the subject, does not have another sound that can become a reason. If it itself is the reason, it has already been said that it should not be indicated. Because its essence is always established, it will also be without dispute. If it is said that it is not established because the concomitance is not seen, then does it now follow another subject? For example, lamps and so on, by their own ability to generate their own consciousness, thus appearing clearly, so it is said that they make their own nature clear. But the sign and the signified are not like that, because their objects depend on difference. The sign itself becomes the object of consciousness, therefore the sign makes the signified understood. If the subject itself establishes, then this consequence will occur. If it is said that because the distinction between dharma and dharmin is not established for all things, then this fault is the same for all, then, in this regard, it has already been said that the names of what is to be established and what establishes are different, relying on the differences of things. If one examines the ultimate truth, then such a thing is not established. Therefore, in the things of conventional truth, the same and other are prevented. The names of inference and what is to be inferred are established based on the difference established in consciousness. How is one's own nature different? Ultimately, it is different in consciousness. When dharma and dharmin appear, that is the basis of names. This is established by names, and is unrelated to differentiated minds. If the object to be proven itself is established as the means of proof, then it shows that it is not established. These are the verses of summary. Therefore, the subject is not established in the reason for both. This also explains the dharma. If it is established from itself, then because it is only indicated in the former, it is the former four.

That is said to be an overstatement. It is also irrelevant to say that the following is not established. Because that itself does not have a following. So, when is it that something other than the opposite side is stated as a reason? How is it then? Because there is nothing to be proven, it is the opposite side, so what is different from that is the very thing to be proven, so it is not established. If it is said that because the subject and so on are different from each other, the non-opposite side is not only present on the subject, then what is the subject and what is the opposite side? What is to be proven is the subject, and what is not present is the opposite side. So, since that is a definition established by intention, how can the opposite side that abides by the power of things be eliminated? If that is the case, then no reason will become definite. Because the opposite side is also made by intention, it has been said many times. If it is said that what is not to be proven is the similar side, and what is different from that is also established on the subject, then for what reason is the reason said to be unestablished? The mere fact that what needs to be proven is not established is not always the case. So what is it? When it is not present, it is definite in both. If it is said that the non-opposite side is established on the uncertain subject, then in that case, doubting the dharma to be proven will also become a non-opposite side. Therefore, how can the non-opposite side itself establish the uncertain nature that contradicts the absence of what needs to be proven? Because its definition is uncertain. If it itself determines, then how can it change from uncertain to definite? Because the sound of "is" on the opposite side is said to be uncertainly contradictory. How can it itself determine the contradiction to the absence of what needs to be proven? Because there is doubt about this here, so it is not here. Saying this is also well said. Therefore, the entry and contradiction of dharmas do not depend on the separate establishment of the subject, they are the nature of abandoning each other and abiding, so they do not contradict the aggregates. Because when one of them contradicts, the other is entering, so how?
