It is not based on the characteristics of its nature, and other ways are also impossible. Therefore, if it exists, it is not something to be proven. If this itself is what needs to be proven for a dharma that pervades things, then it is impossible for the established existent subject to have a general unestablished (pervasion). If, in some way, the dharma to be proven is pervasive, then because there is no contradiction or uncertainty, it will not become a fault. Therefore, these two characteristics of self-nature are valid reasons. To show that it contradicts itself and contradicts what needs to be proven, four aspects of dharma are explained. In particular, to eliminate the assertion that uncertain things like faith and generosity are also definite, two are mentioned. That will be explained when the appropriate time comes, when seemingly valid reasons arise. Because reason mainly proves negation, three aspects of dharma are explained. In this way, reason cannot be understood from the perspective of concomitance, because it is impossible to understand non-effort arising from impermanence itself. If it cannot be understood from this, because there is no exclusion and only concomitance, then it will become like saying, "Because it is intangible, it is permanent." No, because concomitance is not the main thing there either. If it is said that because it pervades similar sides and is absent in some dissimilar sides, here concomitance is powerful and exclusion is weak, like saying, "It is newly produced, therefore it is impermanent." If it is said that it will not become that way because it has not been excluded from all dissimilar sides, then it will become necessary to assume that "whatever is happiness is impermanent" is understood by distinguishing permanence. If it is not so, it will not be possible to show exclusion from all dissimilar sides. Therefore, this is not understood because it is merely existent, equal, and primary. Even if concomitance is not primary, if it is pervaded by exclusion, it exists, like saying, "Sound is impermanent because it is produced by effort." Therefore, whatever is produced by effort is impermanent, and in this way, it is understood by distinguishing permanence.
