Or it becomes meaningless. For example, the nature of sound is meaningful from before being associated with the named, because it is seen as having distinctions. For this, it is not to be established that it is meaningful by its own nature alone. And because it is seen as having meaning, it is established that one does not want the external meaning itself. Or, similarly, the eyes, etc., are for the sake of others, because they are accumulations. For this, it is established that only the meaning of others is without distinction, but not for one's own sake. Because it has been promised that those accumulations are for the sake of others, the establisher is fruitless. Therefore, what is pervasive by desire, even if not said, is what is to be established. And incompleteness, etc., are also examples, which are faults such as the emptiness of what is to be established. This also explains the fault of not following for the combinations with two. For example, a pot is any of the manifest sentient beings, the characteristic of the body, the person, and the pot, because it has two, because it is not an utpala, like a wall. For this, the wall has not established that the person is like that with two. However, if one does not abandon the distinction because one wants to establish the common, then what is the result of the establisher if one does not abandon it? Or it will become unwanted, it has already been said. If the establisher has not made it an object, then how does it establish it? Even if it is established, how is it not an object? If it is considered an object, then how can it not be touched by the aspect of the fault of relying on oneself? By relying on it, it is obtained from the establisher, and it is not refuting others. This is clearly the establishment of the king's assembly. Therefore, in order to abandon what has been established, all the aspects of meaning that are pervasive by the power of the establisher are also established by the refuter. If one does not admit that the body of such an aspect is the nature of another meaning other than the pot, then the establishment of the common is also impossible, because there is no nature of any other meaning. If both exist in such a thing, then

I can also say "either one," for example, "give to either Devadatta or Yajnadatta," but it is not so if it is impossible or unwilling to eat either one. Moreover, either one does not have the nature of other things, because the pot itself has not admitted the nature of other things, and it is contradictory. If it is said that "by implication, the body itself has become other things," it is meaningless to say "either one" because it is clearly present in the sense of language. If it is not so, this statement will be contradictory, because the pot itself is contradictory to the nature of other things that are not it. If the body itself is the nature of other things, then it itself will be said that way, because by implication of saying "either one," the pot will also become that way, so it is contradictory. Therefore, it also does not depend on the universal, because if it is impossible for all appearances to exist, then its universal is not reasonable. For example, just as the Brahmin etc. are not self-nature, or conceptual knowledge depends on the senses. Like this, it does not depend on the eye, because just like its knowledge, it does not understand its meaning, and it does not follow its change, and it exists even if it does not exist. Similarly, the reversal arising from appearances etc. is also not the nature of not depending on the senses. Similarly, if both admit it that way, then from either the pot and the body becoming other things, that is, universally becoming the nature of any other thing, it is not so, because the doubt that the body does not follow is also contradictory to the pot. Therefore, the universal also does not exist. One should give food to either Devadatta or Yajnadatta, but is it possible for a statement like "not to Devadatta, nor to Yajnadatta" to exist? If it is thought that there is no fault in just not giving to Devadatta, that is not right, because there is no fault in just saying "either one." Therefore, if there is no contradiction in fully accepting one, then saying "either one" will have an effect, for example, even if one eats one, it is said "eat either one."
