What kind of follower can see? It is the cause with that nature. Therefore, it does not arise from incompatible things. Cause and effect are things, or nature is certain. If not, it will not arise, that is certain. It does not arise from not seeing, nor does it arise from seeing. Otherwise, what is the certainty of other things being other and other? If it is a reasoned dharma of other meaning, it is like color on cloth. This is called the concluding verse. Furthermore, if the dharma is a reasoned cause of other meaning, then it is other. If it is established, then not established or different causes are not reasonable as its nature. The difference of things, or the difference of causes, is only this, the dharma is in a contradictory state, or the cause is different. Even if this does not establish difference, then nothing will be different from anything, so it will become a whole. Therefore, simultaneous arising and destruction, and everything will be closely connected to everything. If it is not so, it will not become "one", or it is just a different name, because it acknowledges the meaning and says so. Even if the meaning of the cause itself is not different, but when things exist, if impermanence itself is not established, then it is not its nature, is it not the same? If it is said that impermanence itself, there is nothing else that will be established in the future, the thing is the dharma that exists for a moment, it itself is impermanent, it has been said many times. The difference between the words of dharma and the possessor of dharma, the difference of reasons, abandoning others and not abandoning others, etc., has been explained in the Commentary on Valid Cognition. Its nature, even if it is seen, there are foolish people, because they see it, they are always deceived by doubting that it exists, or they are deceived by the appearance of other similarities, so they do not understand. In order to determine for those who have not seen the last moment, because they do not see this, they understand that it does not exist, therefore that time is the certain time, so it is established as impermanence itself, it has also been said. If it is not so, either it is another reason, or it is without reason, in any case, impermanence itself will become another meaning. If it is so, it will not be in accordance with that thing, because it does not need it. If it is needed, then it itself becomes the nature of this.

Since it is impermanent, what can others do? If its nature is unwavering, even if it possesses other meanings, it is not in accordance with its essence. If impermanence itself or another dharma arises from another meaning, will it become a cause or an effect? If it is neither a cause nor an effect, there is no connection. Therefore, it is impossible to infer its existence. If it arises later, then it is not the cause itself. Even if it is the effect, how can it be certain? If something arises from another meaning after it has been established, how can it be its cause? The effect that relies on the benefit of others is not necessarily present in the cause, therefore, the reason for its existence is uncertain. If it arises merely from the thing itself, since it does not rely on others, there is no cause, and can a connection be established merely by that? Even if something arises from it, since it is not needed, there is no harm, just like the previous fault. Therefore, inference is not possible for a fearless, self-natured thing. How is it not possible to infer? Like this, for a thing that is not impermanent, birth has never been seen at any time. Since it is contrary to dissimilar aspects from what has not been seen, it is without error, if you say so. Merely not seeing dissimilar aspects does not mean there is no error. It is merely because error is possible. Like the dyeing of a pomegranate fruit. Many have been seen dyed. Merely being contained within a pomegranate does not establish dyeing, because error has been seen. Like this, this nature is like this, and things that are similar to the cause of this dyeing are all dyed, it cannot be said like that. If it is not like that, then the inference is a mistaken one with remainder. Again, what is it that has remainder? Merely not seeing something greatly shows contradiction. Its contradiction is uncertain, and there will be doubt about entering dissimilar aspects. Merely not seeing the establishment of contradiction is the cause of doubt. Therefore, it is called having remainder. All non-observation is not what makes one understand non-existence. Therefore, wanting to make the other return by the return of one, it is necessary to accept that the two have some kind of natural connection. If it is not like that, then the reason cannot be understood.
