It does not arise from dissimilar things, because it would be the fault of being without a cause. Even so, because the uncaused does not depend on others, it will either always exist or never exist. Things arise occasionally, because they are from dependence. If smoke arises from no cause, since there is no dependence, it will never fail to arise, because there is nothing incomplete for its arising, just like the desired time. Or, it will not arise even at that time, because there is no difference from the time of non-existence. Things that are with dependence sometimes change, because in times of existence and non-existence, they possess the very nature of being able to arise. Places and times that have the same nature of being able and unable, because it is not possible to determine whether they have it or something else. Is that very ability also different from the entity of the cause? Therefore, abandoning some places and times, an entity that exists in other places and times is called having dependence on them, like this, such existence itself is dependence. Not depending on the benefit done by them, because it is not possible to determine it there. Therefore, because the place and time are definite, where the smoke is seen once, and not seen when incomplete, this is its nature of being produced by it, otherwise, there is not even once. If it is definite there, how can it arise from something else? If it arises, then it is not smoke, because smoke is the distinction of its nature produced by it. Similarly, the cause is also the nature of producing such a result. If it also arises from something else, then because it is not its nature, it will not arise even once. Or, it is not smoke, because it arises from what is not the nature of producing smoke. If it is its very nature, then it itself is fire, so there is no mistake. If the crown of Indra is the nature of fire, then it itself is fire. However, it is not the nature of fire, how can smoke arise from it? The nature of the cause of smoke is not fire, it possesses the distinction of its power. If smoke arises from what is not the cause of smoke, then it becomes without a cause. These are the verses of summary. So now, how together?

If it is said that results arise from various factors acting together, such as consciousness arising from the eye and form, then there is nothing that is produced alone, nor is it its own nature. However, the collection is the cause of production and is its own nature, and that alone is inferred. The collection itself is the basis where the self-nature of the fruit resides. Therefore, those acting together also produce countless results. For example, seeing lotuses and the like arising from slightly heavy things and other dissimilar kinds, it can also be said that only those that grow from their own seeds have a different self-nature. Because the nature of the cause is different, like a water tree growing from a seed and a trunk. Such things are clearly distinguished in the world through different ways. The cause that infers the fruit is also immediately following. It is similar for those with the same material nature of the fruit, like water trees growing from connected trunks. For those with different actual causes, there is also a different self-nature, like those that grow from seeds and trunks. Therefore, from seeing what kind of thing, one infers something similar. The intervening lineage of causes is not inferable, so there is no error. Mere difference in form is not a reason for it being that or not that. However, the nature is also different, like artificial and non-artificial gems, pearls, corals, and so on. In some places, the flowers are different, like the blue and another flower's bark. In some places, the fruits are different, like those without fruit and another's Karkota. In some places, the taste is different, like the forest and another's Jalamogagon. In some places, the ability is different, like Haritaki that causes diarrhea when touched and tasted. Therefore, the very distinct fruit has no error in the cause. If the cause is different but the fruit is not different, it becomes a fault. From going forward and backward, what
