It is not. If it is not through the Vedas that one understands, then from where is the meaning of the Vedas understood? Therefore, for those who desire heaven, when they hear "fire offerings are giving," what measure is there here to prove that saying "eat dog meat" is meaningless? If it is said to be worldly parlance, then here, what sees the object that transcends the senses? For all sounds with various meanings, who can distinguish this meaning? Sounds such as heaven and goddesses are not parlance, but are seen to express meaning. For other similar sounds, similar discriminations will arise. If it is not established as having meaning, then for the proof that well establishes it, because the self-meaning is not established, it has no power, because refutation and examination are the same. Parlance is also the speech of people, and this is not considered a valid measure, and from it, one also understands the meaning, what is this hatred and desire? If it is said that there is a cause for discrimination that transcends parlance, then because widespread parlance itself is not a valid measure, what cause is there to cling to it? The sound and meaning of parlance itself, for certainty, causes doubt, because in it, one sees sounds applied to various meanings. If for any worldly person, one accepts it without the harm of reason, then why not accept the son of the wind (Hanuman), who has no harm of reason? For objects that transcend the senses, there is no other reason than having the basis of scriptural meaning. Its meaning also has no place, therefore reason is not possible here. Because there is no other possibility, for those who have not seen the sounds of self-nature with various abilities to determine, they will doubt whether they will be eaten by demons. Some say "this is the path," some say "recite this verse," and others say "self-nature is like this," please examine the difference between these two. For the same meaning that applies to all, where is the clear certainty? Apart from the expression that one wants to express, who can understand the object that transcends the senses? Wanting to express is the cause of certainty, and the symbol is its manifestation. If it does not exist in the unborn, then from where does it become that which has the same meaning? If it is determined by self-nature, then it will also have no other function, and the symbol will also become meaningless. Even if it manifests, from where does certainty come? For whom is desire autonomous, and what is called certainty from there? Therefore, for this unwanted thing, possibility itself will also become a manifestation. This is an intermediate verse.

are cut off. Even by not deceiving in one aspect, it can be called the characteristic of scripture. Merely not seeing in a contradictory aspect does not establish non-deception, therefore its meaning is uncertain. If it is said that through the power of habituation, all sounds are established as related to meaning, because without an object, it cannot be applied. Although it is reasonable to say so, however, even if it is completely established in this way, since there is no imposition of intention, it is seen in the world that there are other terms, therefore doubt will arise. Therefore, even a reversed scripture is not understood as meaningless. The non-perception of reversed direct perception itself establishes the non-existence of things, because if it exists, it is impossible for it not to exist when the cause is not incomplete. For this, taking the reversed direct perception of one's own nature seen from the other shore as a valid cognition, because what should be grasped by it is what can be negated, because everything is not like that, so it is not negating everything. Entering is because it has prior knowledge, therefore, that is considered to have the result of fire entering. On the object of kalpas, the absence of direct perception and inference is the result of preventing the knowledge of existence, sound, and name, because those are those that have a prior aim. The other is the result of entering, because it is seeing the reason. The former non-perception is also the result of the knowledge of non-existence, sound, and name entering, because by fully showing the object, the fully established name can be established. These two non-perceptions are the same in that there is no cause for self-contradiction, and that existent beings negate the name of existence, because one will cause doubt, while the other is reversed. Among them, the second is said to be a valid cognition because it is close to the need to negate the name of existence, but it is not close to applying seeing contradictions, etc., because it will cause doubt, because it cannot be understood from the uncertain part of knowledge. The first is valid cognition for it, because it has a definite result. Only having it and the subsequent connection, the nature is the nature of the reason. Like this, the nature of the thing is only related to it and the subsequent, and not dependent on others, if it exists, it will exist.
