ba. The reason for not appearing will become, not the appearance of wanting to appear. If it cannot appear, if it appears, this world will appear. The third chapter of the Pramanavarttika's verses, the chapter on direct perception, ends. In order to show it to others, even if oneself has not seen it, but others have seen it, some say it is the proof. In order to avoid this, say the words of seeing oneself. In order to fully examine and fully accept, for the words of the object of inference, it is not considered a valid means of knowledge. Because inference will not arise there. Because it harms the scriptures, in order to tell others, when the proof is spoken, that is not a valid means of knowledge, therefore, everything established by it will not be established. If that scripture is established with possession, then whose scripture is it? The scripture that is harmed by the valid means of knowledge, how is that established? Accepting what contradicts it, how does that itself become established? If one accepts something different from it, then abandoning it, the branch is not a valid means of knowledge. From where does self-realization arise, why does the proof not proclaim it? With what wisdom does one hold the scripture, why does one not hold it with this? In the past, with which proofs, making it an ordinary realization, and those proofs arising from the senses, for its meaning, ability is capable for knowing. Whatever has a completely severed relationship, and is not a common object of experience, for those meanings, for the object to be proven and the proof, there is not the slightest observation. By the power of a person's thought, if one establishes that it is that, that it is not that, then the reason will become invisible there, because that is not based on reality. Having meaning is dependent on knowing, not being a proof by knowing non-existence. Even if it exists, but it has no relationship with reality, realization is the same as no realization. Nature and result, ༈. Appearance, not seeing is always the cause. If that relationship is established in reality, then why is it not established for oneself? By others, one can also realize from others, by what other kind of examination, dust and establishment are related, because if one is absent, the other is rejected. The meaning spoken, that is sound and, the nature of being falsely imputed by thought, not the cause itself but the object to be proven, because meaning is established from meaning. The author of thought and scripture, only intention and subsequent association, and because it is possible to exist outside of reality, b.

Those that are imputed are mistaken. In order to understand meaning through meaning, for meaning, There is no ability to state the subject and the reason. Therefore, those are not from themselves, Abiding in being able to establish. The words of the subject are those of the speaker, When showing intention, It is valid cognition, from that doubt arises, Therefore, it is not a real establisher. What is to be established, through saying, Even through indirect means, there is no ability. The statement of the reason itself, Although without ability, shows ability. The reason is the object of meaning itself, It is said that it is without ability. If that also has ability, Because the words of the reason enter, That is understood through doubt, Because of desire, it relies on the occasion. Even if admitting the dissimilar side, Because it is the same, it becomes infinite. The ability of the internal limbs, Truly abides in the three modes. Generating remembrance in that, That itself truly abides in the words. If the object is not indicated, Because the reason does not enter. If it is said that from indicating the object itself, One wants to establish ability? Even in the former having pervasion, there is not that, Sound is produced, all these, Even by saying impermanent, In meaning, that becomes the thought of destruction. Even if the subject is not indicated, Because there is no obstacle to accomplishment. Any one of the three modes, It is said to be unindicated, incomplete. Even if vowing to say what is to be established, For the speaker, the fault is not reasonable, Because solely making the establisher the master, Therefore, it is not the fault of a fallacious reason. Even if saying without difference, There will arise doubt of the same kind, Otherwise, all statements of what is to be established, Will become the fault of a promise. If saying that the established statement is for the establisher, There is no fault for others either, Then how is the indication of what is to be established now, A limb of the establisher? Establishing with fallacies, etc., Others are irrelevant laughter, Thus, it has already been said that that is not reasoning. The statement of the establisher is itself meaningful to understand, Although it is, because there is no ignorance, it is a characteristic, Essence, word, and relation are considered to be nature. Through words, those are its four characteristics, Unproven, non-establishing, non-meaningful saying, Seizing what is admitted by the opponent. Even if not saying, it pervades desire, Like one's own meaning, it is considered what is to be established, All that others desire.
