A single affliction does not act. The fruit produced by various causes, does not become small or of a different kind. How is the experience of the fruit a result of the power of asceticism? When the mixed power is exhausted, some parts of the afflictions are abandoned, or all are abandoned without afflictions. If it is said that asceticism is other than afflictions, and that desire is itself an affliction, then since this is the result of karma, the mixing of powers, etc., does not change. To destroy the faults of the desire to be born, whatever prevents faults, by that, the power changes on the karma that produces it, how does what has been done become impaired? Karma is not a fault from karma, but from reversing the actions of a faulty agent. Without perverse conceptualization, desire does not arise even from happiness. Saving actions are established as being the same, stable, and knowing all distinctions without exception. It is for the sake of the meaning of the departed's realization, therefore, the outsiders and the learners, and the non-learners, are superior to that, therefore, he shows the practice of knowing the benefit of others. From that, it is love for the sake of others, because he does not abandon the accomplishment of meaning. With love and wisdom, he speaks the truth with accomplishment, and he also possesses manifest practice in speaking it, therefore, he is a valid cognizer. The praise of such a real thing from his own teachings, the meaning of the establishment of that validity, cannot be reversed by subsequent inference. "Whatever has the nature of arising slightly, all of that has the nature of ceasing," in many such ways, this application is also seen. That which has the characteristic of not arising if it does not exist, is the basis of inference. The pervasion of the probandum and the reason, is also clearly explained to show that. From the chapter on the verses of the Commentary on Valid Cognition, the second chapter called "Establishment of Validity." Since there are two objects to be measured, there are two valid cognitions, because of the ability and inability to perform a function. Hair combs and the like are not objects, because there is no desire for them as objects. Because of the nature of being the same and different, and because of being the object and non-object of sound, if there is another reason, then there is and is not intelligence. That which is ultimately capable of performing a function, is ultimately existent here. The other is conventionally existent, those are said to be the characteristics of self and generalities. If everything were incapable, then seeds, etc., on sprouts, etc., the ability is seen if all of that.

It is false. If you wish, why would it change like that? If everything has that, the characteristic of the general follows and changes. It is not because it is not seen in the mind, eyes and objects are like the mind. Therefore, indications and efforts, etc., are for following the internal parts. Lifting a pot, the general, and numbers, etc., are said to be mind. Hair, etc., are not general, because there is no attachment to meaning. Because it is held as knowable, it will not be a fault for the non-existent. Those things are also like that, the nature of unobstructed clarity, because it is the meaning of the nature of knowledge. The minds called hair, etc., are those that have the scope of the general, and are those that appear as hair but are meaningless. If the general is the nature of knowledge, if it is the nature of meaning, it will be a fault. Because it is so accepted, there is no fault. The general of the nature of meaning, because the nature of everything is the same, and because it depends on its difference. Because it is what is said, it is not a thing. Because power, etc., have results. If names, etc., are said, then the speaker and the listener are related to what is said. Names, etc., are unrelated, and will not enter into meaning. If, for meaning, from a similar way, a mistaken entry occurs, then all times and, for the object, the knowledge of non-mistake, produces a mind of such a dissimilar form. Because it arises, others do not have that, because the mind that appears as an external object is not accepted. Even if accepted, if it is different from consciousness, it is not a measure. Because difference is not established. If you say that all knowledge has meaning, it is not reasonable, because in dreams, etc., in other forms, it is seen, and it is not caused by fabrication, because it appears as blue, etc. Because it is unobstructed, it is not blue, etc. If the object is allowed to exist without knowing, because it knows itself, it is knowledge. Therefore, names, etc., are what is said. Wanting the mind of the eye, etc., what do you think is meaningful? If it is because you see the power of meaning, then you will get something else that is meaningless. Even if there is no connection, it will not fail to enter. If it is related to meaning, then the past and the future are not what is said, because the meaning and that have been exhausted. Because the sound speaks of the general. If you don't want to be a fault, it's not that, where is the general? Because it is unspeakable, if you say it, it is not the same.
