Moreover, that which abides is without fault. Also, because compassion is deficient, There is no great effort to abide. Those who have great love, Abide for the sake of others. If one is free from the view of the perishable aggregate, There will be no existence on the first path. Since the co-emergent self-grasping is not abandoned, Even if abandoned, how could there be existence? If one desires not to become happy or miserable, When there is a thought of "I," Looking at sentient beings is co-emergent. If there is no seeing of "I," No one will be attached to self. If there is no craving for self, One will not rush forth desiring happiness. The very cause of the arising of suffering Is bondage; whence comes permanence? The very cause of the non-arising of suffering Is liberation; whence comes permanence? That which is inexpressible as impermanence, That is not the cause of anything. For that which is inexpressible, bondage and liberation, In no way exist. That whose nature is indestructible, That, the wise call permanent. Therefore, abandon this view of shame, And speak of that as permanent. From habituating the path that has been taught, If the state is transformed, even if the state is transformed, If faults arise as with the path, It is not so, because there is no power. The consciousness is a dharma that apprehends an object, How does it exist, how does it apprehend, And the very nature of existence, This also causes it to arise. Its nature is such that, apart from this, It is changed by other conditions. For reversal, look to conditions, Like the mind of an unstable snake. The nature of mind is clear light, The stains are adventitious. Therefore, those that previously had no power, After that becomes self, later have no power. Even if there is power, it is harmful, For things that can produce essence, There is no ability to remain long, Like fire on damp ground. Non-harm and true meaning, For nature, through reversal, Even if one strives, it cannot be turned back, Because the mind clings to that direction. Self-grasping is of a single cause, Because it is a thing of cause and effect, Desire and anger, mutually, Even if different, do no harm. Love and so forth are not in conflict with delusion, Therefore, they do not completely eradicate faults. All faults have that as their root, That is the view of the perishable aggregate. Because it is incompatible with wisdom, And mental events
