Now, it is as stated, not the opposite. If it is like this, each non-contradictory thing can be considered a characteristic of a reason. For example, 'because it is made, it is impermanent.' 'Because it arises from effort, it is impermanent,' and so on. How does certainty arise from many? Even if there are many, if they do not contradict, even the smallest goes into one. Here, even if there are many, because they do the same thing, they are one, which is not contradictory. For example, people who want to express the same thing would say, 'We are united on this matter.' Just like that. If, in any place, it does not serve two purposes, for example, 'because it is made, it is impermanent.' 'Because it is suffering, it is without self.' For such things, like not confusing contradictions, would it lead to doubt? That is not the case. Because there, each does not serve two purposes, so like before, it goes into not being one, which is very reasonable. If, in any place, multiple things to be proven are proven by different reasons, for example, 'a limb is different from that which has limbs, because of doubt and certainty, etc.' For such things, also looking at mutual dependence, the otherness that enters into both is the same reason. In short, having the characteristics of a reason and proving both, there is no fault. If the four forms become reasons for doubt, because they exist in both. Then, what should be listened to? Because it is not common. Because the uncommon thing to be proven, and the other thing that includes all different things, therefore doubt is the reason for it, because the thing that conforms to it is included. Any reason that does not return from one side, that is not commonly distinguished, that is itself, because it does not contradict both, so it is the reason for doubt. Here, the certainty of both parts, this reason is different from others, this is the distinction. If, when someone asserts that sound is permanent, would this become a reason? If for this, 'because it is made,' etc., it will never be a reason for impermanence.

nor does it show. If we consider the meaning of what both refer to, since it is a contradictory meaning, it is a reason for doubt. This is also because it is obvious to those who seek to ascertain this. The summarizing verses here are: Whatever is uncommon, and not confused with the common and contradictory, in all places, those dharmas are signs that generate doubt. Whatever possesses the dharma of the পক্ষ, is harmed by the reversal of the desire to know, and other than that which has become doubt itself, there are no fallacious reasons. If, like this, how should one say that the contradictory that harms what is desired is a reversed reason? If it is the very act of something that is not other, then why would it not be established? Because there is a reason for the act of something other. Similarly, in saying "because it is made, it is impermanent," because being made establishes impermanence, one should listen to the reason for establishment as a sign itself. This refutation is arranged unreasonably, because for it, taking one that possesses the reason for permanence itself, it becomes not the establisher. If, like this, one distinguishes the same thing into two by the difference of what is to be proven, like not being an object of the eye and being manifest, then it becomes different from the non-confused contradictory. One should not examine, saying, "I have not seen doubt in this." Like this, because one wants to establish the opposite of the distinctive act of another, that is the contradictory itself. Thus, wanting to establish the act of a collection for the act of others, and for the act of those that are not a collection, this is actually a sign of the other collection itself. Its very non-collection is not established by perception or inference. Because its existence is not established. This is not doubt, because this very distinctive reversed reason itself distinguishes the other contradictory from the non-confused contradictory. Similarly, harm to what is seen should be said to be contradictory, because one wants to establish the difference of the nature of the subject in reverse, for example, saying "because it arises from effort, it is not hair," and so on.
