This is not seen through images, but in all cases, it is acknowledged that impermanence, which has the characteristic of reason, exists in directions such as the sky, and it is divided into three types: existing in the concordant side, not existing, and existing in both. The same applies to the concordant side. If it is not so, then these two themselves will become repetitions. Furthermore, each of these should also be divided into three: that which exists in the concordant side also exists in the discordant side, does not exist, and exists in both. Similarly, the same division applies to the case of not existing in the concordant side and existing in both. When it is not acknowledged that impermanence exists in directions such as the sky, how can it be said that it does not exist in the discordant side, without being related to it? Even then, there is no doubt, because that is non-existent, so there is no possibility of entering, therefore there is no that fault. The examples of these nine aspects of dharma should be shown in order. These nine also written sequentially in nine squares, connected by lines, upwards are the three of the concordant side. Horizontally are the three of the discordant side. Through the four directions, one should understand nature, result, and so on. Sound is permanent, because it is measurable. It is impermanent, because it is made. Because it is impermanent, it arises from effort. Because it is made, it is permanent. It is permanent, because it is audible. It is permanent, because it arises from effort. Because it is impermanent, it arises from effort. Because it arises from effort, it is impermanent. It is permanent, because it is not tangible. The summary verses of these are: measurable, made, and impermanent, made and audible arise from effort, impermanent arises from effort, arising from effort is impermanent, not tangible. These nine are about permanence and so on. Thus, these distinctions should be stated as contradicting the reason and being uncertain. There, whatever two exist in the concordant side, do not exist where there is non-existence, that is permanence. Only two are the reason, whatever exists in the concordant side, does not exist where the probandum is non-existent. Whatever does not exist in the concordant side, does not exist where the probandum is non-existent, that is the first and the last third. In the middle is this.

The reversal of the ground is contradiction, because it is to establish the opposite. Such a contradiction, the two that exist in the unfavorable side, do not exist in the favorable side. The east and west of the second and third categories, there are also other contradictions, that is, whatever harms what is to be established, establishes it. For example, the collection of different things themselves, because the very act of accomplishing the meaning of others is a collection, is called the accomplisher of the meaning of others. Because it accomplishes many meanings, these two reasons themselves are included in it, therefore it is not different from the nine kinds. The others are uncertain. The remaining five kinds are uncertain as to whether they are reasons or contradictions themselves, it is the cause of doubt, this is its definition. For all these reasons and so on, the number that is intended to be expressed is only one. It should be understood from nature and substance, this is the rest of that sentence. Whatever is said to be one number, here whatever is in accordance with nature, what is intended to be expressed is it and so on. Why? Because there is doubt about the contradictions. If, because whatever is contradictory, from the two natures that are spoken of, it is seen that the number is one, for example, for the made nature and the audible nature of sound, it is doubted whether it is permanent or impermanent. Similarly, from the very cause of doubt, it is not seen to be determined as one. For example, for the non-visual and manifest nature of sound, it is determined that sound is neither a substance nor an action. Therefore, what is intended to be expressed is only one. If, like this, from the one itself that is intended to be expressed, it will not become two, doubt and certainty, then, that fault is not there. Because, the one who possesses two natures, it is reasonable to intend two and two, not one and one. Here, doubt and determination, it is reasonable to possess the nature of both, but it is not contradictory. Here, what is the nature of doubt? It is an unconfused contradiction. For the time being, from one without the nature of doubt, it is reasonable to have the nature of doubt, therefore it is one. If that is the case, then, the nature of the reason that possesses non-visual nature and non-manifest nature, etc.
