The nature of reversal is not seen. What is not true is like becoming a fault, and being the same in meaning, and so on. Among them, for the time being, being the same as becoming a fault is not true, why? Although the reason for the meaning is not seen, it is said that what should be established is said. Here, it can also be said with reversal and contradiction, because it contradicts the reversal of seeing what is not seen. Likewise, it is also the same to know the meaning in the same way. If there is nothing to be accomplished, it is not true that what is obtained by not focusing on the non-existent, likewise, it is also contradictory to the reversal. What is contradictory is the same as what is not born and what is constant. Among them, why? The sound of what has already been born is also non-existent, therefore, it is the nature of contradiction. Non-existence is also impermanent, which is contradictory. Likewise, what is not true is also the same. What exists is non-existent because of permanence, so even if permanence is not in reversal, it is also possible. The same permanence can also be said to be non-existent in reversal, just like contradiction, because impermanence and permanence contradict each other. Likewise, reversal and non-truth are also the same, in fact, they are permanent. Therefore, in refutation, it is not possible to say that there is no fault by mixing reversal, non-truth, and the nature of contradiction. The answer to the nature of refutation: It is also difficult in subtle reasoning, and one should also observe the reasoning of what is to be known, refutation is only a part of others. In subtle reasoning, it also stands in contradiction with similar and dissimilar qualities. By distinguishing those refutations, many refutations also arise. The nature of that and the cause of meeting or not meeting and dissimilarity are not possible. In this metaphor, there is no one who stands in contradiction with similar and dissimilar qualities. The unsaid refutations, etc., say that because it is a cow, but the cow is not established, saying that it has been established, etc., one should know that everything is widely said in the observation of reason. Likewise, other refutations are also the same. They are only a small part, likewise, for the proponent, other establishment and refutation, and the display of what appears as such, etc.

It only shows the wrong aspects. For those respective refutations and the respective refutations of what is to be measured, details can be known from the examination of the logic of the Vaisheshika school and the logic of the Nyaya school. The object of measurement for all non-Buddhists is merely speculation for understanding, because the objects fully examined by it are not the objects of direct perception. If it is examined in the same way, it cannot withstand analysis. If asked, "What is this used to prevent the measurement of meaning?" Because measurement and the ability to measure are difficult to establish, in order to show that this non-Buddhist has no essence, and in order to prevent interest in it, this treatise was written. From this treatise, one cannot enter the teachings of the Tathagata, because its Dharma is not the object of speculation. If it is reversed, then by closely listening to the Dharma nature of the teacher, one will effortlessly obtain it. Because of the long kalpas. It is also said: The power of speculation is only for non-Buddhists, but it does not show its own nature, and it also contradicts its own actions, and it cannot accomplish the desired meaning. If someone leads from the path of speculation to Dharma nature, then that is especially prolonging the teachings of the Sage and causing them to decline. Even so, the characteristics of the Dharmas of the Tathagata, if they go elsewhere, then it is appropriate to analyze. In the collection of valid cognition, where faults and virtues are extensive, from the extremely bright, whatever merit is accumulated here, may it be known in life after life whether there are virtues or not, may the sectarian views be pacified, and may liberation be given to sentient beings. The sixth chapter, Examination of Refutations, from the Collected Works on Valid Cognition, is completed. The commentary on the Collected Works on Valid Cognition, written by the great debater, the extremely subtle-minded teacher Dharmakirti, is completed. The Indian abbot Buddharakshita and the Tibetan translator Geshe Sengyal translated, edited, and finalized it. By the command of Manjushri, this treatise of Dharmakirti is as deep as the ocean. By the command of the king with lineage, it is called "Protecting the Earth," the seven lecturers. By the command of the small-bodied teacher, the translator Geshe Sengyal Shama translated it. By the command of whatever virtue and merit, may all beings abide in the path of reason and quickly attain enlightenment.
