I, regarding dissimilar dharmas and distinctions, as well as non-distinction and conjunction, non-conjunction, etc., establish reasons, while similar results, etc., are expressed as doubt. Among these four, the very reversal is such that it is said to infer with a reason that is definite on one side, while the indefinite establishes contradiction with similar dharmas, etc. What is definite on one side, how is it, although it contradicts like the indefinite and the reversed, it is because they cannot coexist. Even if it is true, if one combines the meaning definite on one side in a seemingly indefinite way, even if it is false, one can say that the distinctions are the same. That is also unreasonable, because not seeing the absence of what is to be burned, etc., is not seeing, because the wind of the wind wheel, etc., is impermanent. Others say that sound is permanent because of what is not to be burned and what is not to be apprehended by the eye, etc. The pot is not impermanent because of what is to be burned, etc. One should say this about it: there is no seeing what is not to be burned, etc., as merely permanent, but rather in permanence. That is to say that the other's side is uncertain. This pervades the former, and what is not pervasive is not a reason. Others infer that sound is not audible because it arises from effort, but that is not right, but because it is not audible, sound itself will become permanent. The answer is not related to the former aspect. Indeed, if it is said by similar dharma, then it is true, if it is said by dissimilar dharma, because there is nothing to be established, it shows that there is no reason, if it is said that what is not to be burned itself is nothing to be established, that is not right. If that is the case, then both examples are reversed in their concomitance. When the argument is established in that way, it is not there, just as there is no seeing that what is not audible itself is permanent, and what is not audible itself is also uncertain, so it is not permanent. Whatever is inferred as the permanence of this by similar and dissimilar dharmas is said in this way. Here is dissimilar dharma.

If that which exists in the other is itself an example, then that which is to be heard is seen as impermanent. If one uses such an example of dissimilar dharma, then lightning is permanent, because it does not arise from effort, and this becomes without fault. The sky, which does not arise from effort, is permanent, and that which arises from effort is impermanent, and it is also seen that it is certain in one direction. The second is that the opponent argues that there is no reason for things that are the same without distinction. Because there is no reversal, other faults should be pointed out. Similarly, because of the similarities of encounter and non-encounter and non-reason, all reasons are eliminated. Moreover, this is not to point out the fault of reason through the generation of the meaning of the pledge, but only to make it known. This is also related to the fault of encounter and non-encounter. Therefore, even so, the reason is not reversed, and the same target is not a reversed reason, and the opponent does not argue in that way either. For others, there is a reason for impermanence. However, even if those do not establish what is to be proven, there is no reason, and even if something is missing, a reason will not arise from it. If that is the case, it will become an answer to it. If it is not the case, then the previous view will become another statement. The second case is also not pervasive, so it is not the fault of a reversed reason. In the case of doubt being the same, it is also a reversed reason, and in this way, the meaning of what is to be proven and the reason are distorted. Because the reversed pledge also distorts the obvious statement, it will become reversed in all cases. The same case of not stating is also not stated as a reversed reason, because the opponent has not made it a reason for destruction, but says that there has been a statement from the beginning. Even at the time of the statement, the impermanence of sound is not obtained, because it is due to destruction. The same case of result is also not stated through a reversed reason, but through the difference of being included in another category. Therefore, those refutations are reasons
