Merely the difference of "is" is not existence. If so, then the unestablished reason and example will also become what is to be proven. For example, sound is permanent, because it is tangible, like consciousness. Similarly, because it is visible to the eye, it is impermanent, and this also, because it shows what is to be proven, will become the fault of a commitment. Regarding this, is the dharma (Tibetan: ཆོས་, Sanskrit: dharma, Romanized Sanskrit: dharma, literal meaning: law) what is to be proven? Or is it the dharmin (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཅན།, Sanskrit: dharmin, Romanized Sanskrit: dharmin, literal meaning: possessor of dharma)? Or should it be said that it is both? If so, what will happen? If what is to be proven is dharma, there is no similar instance. If it is thought that only the impermanence of the dharmin itself is to be proven, then it is not possible to add "the similar instance of the dharma to be proven," because there is no example of a thing that has the same dharma as impermanence itself. If the dharmin is what is to be proven, the reason is meaningless. If it is thought that the dharmin is what is to be proven, then because sound is already established, one should not establish a reason to prove what is to be proven. If it is both, then the fault is also both. Regarding this, is it the showing of what is to be proven itself that is the commitment, and is this certainty placed in front? Or is the showing of what is to be proven the commitment itself, and is this certainty placed behind? Then what will happen? The certainty placed in front becomes meaningless. If according to another way of saying it, then there will be no unwanted fault. If one places the certainty of "the showing of what is to be proven itself" in front, then because the reason, etc., which are shown as the establisher, have already been thrown out, the certainty made in front becomes meaningless. If one places the certainty of "the showing of what is to be proven is the commitment itself" behind, then in order to explain the example of the reason, what is shown will also become a commitment, therefore the commitment is unreasonable. Similarly, for stating what is to be proven, it is also the same. Similarly, for stating faults to those who are reasonable, also similarly for establishing an argument, the reason is what is to be proven, and stating a similar example will also become the fault of a commitment. If that is not existence, then for that: Because of partiality, it is not possible. Establishing an argument is merely stating what is to be proven, it will not become a commitment, but like this, one side is what is to be proven. What is that one side? It is the meaning of the desire to examine separately, because that one side is what is to be proven, merely what is to be proven, stating that the reason is unestablished, etc., will also become a commitment.

If it is said that there is no fault of transformation, then how can there be no fault? To this also: This desire for critical examination is merely a return from what is not desired. Therefore, it is considered that this is merely a return from what is not desired. Then, how does one understand the distinction of what is to be proven? The desire for critical examination is because it is possible to examine whether this is a sign or not, even the object of the name, so this is also called a proposition. The object to be proven with its image is shown. Those with reason say that the contradiction between the proposition and the reason, and the contradiction with the proposition, etc., are faults of the proposition. For example, sound is permanent because everything is impermanent, like saying that. It is not reasonable to say that the contradiction between the proposition and the reason is a fault of the proposition. Here, both the contradiction between the proposition and the reason are unreasonable. How is it? Those who have not learned well use dissimilar examples to explain. It is not reasonable to say that this statement of reason contradicts the proposition, because it is the statement of a dissimilar example. There, it will become beautiful after stating it like this. Sound is permanent because everything is impermanent, which means that because it is not everything, it does not exist. If that is the case, then it is shown that the reason does not exist from the non-existence of what is to be proven by a dissimilar example. By measuring permanence, here what is to be proven is not. By approximate measurement, here saying everything to sound, because it says everything, it is unreasonable to say that everything is not as a sign. That is not established, because sound is also included in everything? Because it is part of the proposition. If it is said that everything is impermanent, using the word everything including sound, then in that case, because sound is also included in everything, everything that is not does not exist. How can it not exist? Because when this is one part, is it not everything? If that is the case, then it is also one part for others. Because it is not everything. If that is the case, then it will happen that one does not want everything not to be. If even that is a fault of the proposition, it is because impermanence itself excludes permanence itself.
