The limit is the five desires. Indulgence means without shame and fear. If indulgence in behavior leads to faults, what will they be? It is the decline of mindfulness. It is called "Loss of Mindfulness," which is one verse. Losing virtuous thoughts means falling into old age even from youth. Not abandoning unseemly behavior means acting peacefully with body, speech, and mind. Why not abandon it? Because one wants to see no aging and death, which shows the two lines, "Childish is my body." Declining from the path is ignorance, which is one verse. If there is no mindfulness, what faults will there be? It is because ignorance is mentioned, which means not knowing what to take and what to abandon. The good path is generosity and so on, because it produces desirable results. The bad path is non-virtue, killing and so on, because it produces undesirable results. Like a flood, it means that just as grass and trees are trampled by elephants and all are crushed into powder, so too are higher realms and liberation crushed into powder, and one falls into the lower realms of samsara. Showing the suffering of aging, joy controls the body, which is the verse "From this, that is." Youth is from that unseemly beginning. Good Dharma will decline, which is the two lines of "However." Non-virtue will increase, which is the two lines of "Ignorance." Showing the decline of one's own perfections, the decline of hair is the verse "From this, that is." Like laughter, it means that when people laugh, white teeth are revealed, just as white hair is revealed due to aging. The decline of body and mind is the verse "From this, the limbs of that." Wisdom is confused, which means the mind is confused and memory declines. The decline of walking means that when going to other places, one cannot walk without a cane or mount. Thus it is said: The driver is old and weak, flesh and blood are dry, sinews and skin are twisted like braids. White hair and teeth fall out, the body is extremely dry. Leaning on a cane, one walks uncomfortably and falteringly. So it is said. The disappearance of luster is the disappearance of radiance. Loose means the joints are dislocated. The decline of the senses is the line "Senses." The decline of clinging to desires is the line "Object." Fear
