Thus it is done. Consciousness is also the condition because the aggregates manifest and accomplish name and form, etc., in whatever order, and that is the order of projection. From "consciousness as the condition for name and form" to "contact as the condition for feeling" has been explained. What are name and form? From the moment of conception in the mother's womb, up to feeling, etc., the four immaterial aggregates, and the form that has the four great elements as its cause, should be applied appropriately. That is called "nur nur po," and gradually it also obtains names such as "mer mer po." Among these, the four aggregates are merely name, because they lead to rebirth and go to the object. That which has the four great elements as its cause is merely form, because it produces changes such as cold. That same name and form, in the order of development, at the stage when the eyes and so forth arise, becomes the condition for the six sense spheres, because that stage is the stage when the six sense spheres are complete. The six sense spheres themselves are in the sense of being the door through which mind and mental factors arise. When these six sense spheres are fully mature, and the object also becomes manifest, contact arises, and due to the difference in the basis, there are only six kinds. Just as contact that experiences pleasure and so forth, similarly, feeling arises, which is pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain. Thus, the limb projected by the formations, moistened by craving and grasping, at the time of death becomes existence. Thereafter, in the order of how it is projected, it will also be born, it will also age, and it will also live. Among these, what is craving? One does not want to be separated from the feeling of pleasure; one wants to be separated from suffering; and one does not want either pleasure or pain, what is that? In the sutra, it is also shown as three kinds, according to the difference in what is practiced in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. What is grasping? What is the desire and attachment that yearns for desire and so forth? In the sutra, due to the difference in the object, there is desire grasping, view grasping, and moral discipline

Taking vows and asceticism, taking the view of self, these are called four types. Because the desire of craving will take desires and so on. If someone asks, what is the difference between craving and taking? There is no difference, wanting to manifest existence is craving. Wanting to manifest especially is taking. Or, the distant cause is craving, and the near cause should be understood as taking. The seeds of actions moistened by craving and taking, manifesting towards producing fruit, this is called existence. The sutra says, desire existence, form existence, formless existence. Although it is said like that, however, here only the past existence is explained. After existence is birth, that is, from name and form in order up to feeling. After being born, one will become old, die, and so on. Thus, and so on, as it is said, the collection of suffering, this selfless thing will arise. The sutra only uses the names of birth and so on to indicate. Therefore, it should be understood that here the twelve links of dependent origination are summarized into four branches. For example, the projecting branch, the projected branch, the manifesting accomplishing branch, the manifesting accomplishing branch. After the twelve links are summarized, they are counted as four branches, three, four, three, two, arranged in order. Therefore, if we temporarily explain by establishing two lives, the sutra says that ignorance and action are the projecting branch of the past extreme. Therefore, the twelve links are established as three lives. Among them, ignorance and action are the past life. From consciousness to existence is the life that is happening now. Birth and old age and death are the future life. Among them, the arising life is because of the cause of ignorance, the actions that are made, the consciousness that connects the self in this life.

From then on, the maturation of results up to feeling is accomplished, and it should be understood that the craving, grasping, and existence that arise now generate future births and so on. The purpose of establishing the three existences is to dispel the complete ignorance of the past, future, and intermediate extremes. Although it was said that way, nevertheless, due to ignorance, when the formations generate birth, existence, grasping, and existence are also merely present, and when craving, grasping, and existence generate future birth, it is also formations due to ignorance. Birth and so on, other than name and form and so on, do not exist, and those are merely explained in other ways, so establishing two existences is also not contradictory. Dependent origination should be understood in terms of three paths: namely, ignorance, craving, and grasping are the path of affliction. Formations and existence are the path of karma. The remaining limbs are the path of maturation, and that is enough elaboration. The main text should be stated: 'Dependent origination, this is the Victor's.' and so on, is a praise of dependent origination. Dependent origination is the precious thing of the Tathagata's speech, like this, whoever understands this well, truly realizes the Tathagata's teaching. 'Profound' and so on, is merely showing the profound itself. 'Whoever sees this as true.' and so on, is showing the profound itself by the fact that the Buddha Bhagavan realized it with uncontaminated, unsurpassed wisdom. Having understood dependent origination, understanding it,
