Etc., should be understood. The so-called "same taste" refers to showing that suffering is without interruption. The so-called "people who like stinginess" refers to, stingy people are those who are miserly, and they like those people. What is that? It is said that "stinginess is not noble," not being noble refers to having afflictions. This stinginess is the cause of being reborn in the preta realm, as the Buddha, the Bhagavan, said. We stingy people, staring straight ahead, not giving even a little, we will fall into the preta realm. Because there is such a saying. From the aspect of the suffering of the deva realm, it is said that "even in the heavens there is great bliss," etc. In the heavens, the goddesses are enchanting, and with appearances, etc., various pleasing realms, one can experience great happiness. Although there is such happiness there, their suffering of death and falling, the extremely unpleasant feeling that arises at the time of death, is even greater than that happiness. After thinking like this, virtuous people will not be attached to the heavens that will eventually be destroyed. Even virtuous people should not be attached to the heavens that will eventually be destroyed, this is a concluding statement. Because the devas do not have the feeling of explaining the key points, why does the suffering of death and falling arise? It is said that "the color of the body becomes unpleasant," etc. It is said like this, although they do not have the feeling of explaining the key points, so there is no physical suffering, but seeing the omens of death and falling, the mind will be very painful, just like this, then a certain deva son cries out in a pitiful voice, uttering such lamentations as "Alas, slowly falling, alas, heavily," just as described in detail in the scriptures. The sufferings of the omens of death and falling of the devas are also five, namely, because of losing the original perfect color, the color of the body becomes unpleasant, disliking one's own seat, the flower garlands withering, the clothes becoming stained, and the body emitting odor. Thus, seeing these, the devas will develop unpleasant feelings, the heavens

The five omens that foreshadow death. These occur to the gods residing in the heavenly realms, just like the omens that foreshadow the death of humans. For example, if one who has bathed and anointed their body initially feels heat, and if they cannot hear sounds without covering their ears, it indicates that they will soon die. "Falling from the realm of the gods," and so on, indicates that not only do the gods experience suffering, but it also foreshadows their fall after death. In short, if after falling from the heavenly realm, there is not even a little bit of virtuous karma to be reborn as a god or human, then they can only fall back into the three lower realms and experience suffering. Regarding the suffering of the Asuras, it is said in the sutra: "The Asuras naturally possess pride." They also suffer because of their pride. Therefore, this explains their afflictions and the suffering of pervasive afflictions. The mention of "naturally" also indicates that they experience physical suffering during battles. The phrase "hating the glory of the gods" reveals the cause of suffering arising from pride, and thus also reveals the suffering of pervasive afflictions arising from birth. It is said in the sutra: "Even if they have intelligence." This means that even if they have the ability to distinguish between good and evil, they are still obscured by karmic obscurations and cannot see the truth. Because this very existence cannot become the basis for realizing the truth, but is driven by negative karma, it is called karmic obscuration. The karma that propels one into the Asura realm is negative karma, while the karma that perfects the Asura realm is considered to be only virtuous karma. Since both the propelling and perfecting factors of the god realm are virtuous karma, the Asura realm is distinguished from the god realm as a different realm. Regarding the human realm,

The distinctions of suffering are explained separately. In general, poverty and death due to craving for pleasure, as well as illness, old age, and other sufferings, are already indicated by just 'source,' etc., and have been condemned by many people before. Now, after explaining the faults of samsara in this way, in order to cultivate a sense of aversion to it, it is said, 'Samsara is like that,' etc. Because samsara is like that, full of faults, being born as a god, etc., is not good. Having thus specifically explained the faults of birth, it is said, 'Being born as a human is many harms,' etc. Know that birth is a vessel and basis for many harms, such as the harm of relatives. Having thus generated aversion to all the world, in order to introduce nirvana, it is said, 'On the head or clothes,' etc., which should be connected to 'If the head is on fire or the clothes are on fire.' 'Even abandoning those things that should be prevented,' means abandoning even those things that extinguish the flames. 'One should strive to make rebirth cease,' means that one should strive for such great diligence that does not consider body and life, in order to make rebirth cease. Why? It is said, 'There is no other need more supreme than this,' meaning that there is no other need more excellent than this, and thinking that, like this, the supreme meaning of a person is only this. Then, how can one obtain the cessation of rebirth? It is said, 'With pure morality, meditation, and wisdom,' etc., meaning that one should perfect the three trainings and attain nirvana. Nirvana also has two types, namely nirvana with remainder and nirvana without remainder. Among these, nirvana without remainder is indicated by the word 'peace' because it is distinguished by the pacification of suffering. Nirvana with remainder is indicated by the word 'subduing' because it is distinguished by the subduing of the senses. Both are the pacification of defilements such as desire.
